Am I missing something here? It seems that they are mostly focusing on the DF'd ones.

Latest Kingdom Ministry
by ConnieLynn inhas anyone heard anything about the latest km?
my uncle (on the fringes) told me the newest km said that even non-df'd folks are to be treated as disfellowshipped, if they had been inactive for a long time.
since i haven't seen a km myself, i wondered if this was true?

by Incense_and_Peppermints ini just read this in my "moe/syn thread"... .
simon wrote: most disturbing has been a few accounts, all registered within a short space of time, that have been used several times to reply to each other and purport to be from people unfamiliar with the original poster, not know them and their family etc.
i am guilty of registering with more than one account.

The Revolving Door at the Kingdom Hall
by zenpunk inabout a year ago, i decided to drift into a meeting in my old congregation.
who knows, maybe i thought by doing so my mother would love me again....but anyway - i noticed that there were 5 or 6 of the same "diehard jw" families there but otherwise all the people were completely different.
it seemed that 3/4 of the congregation left and their seats were taken by a new group of converts.

About a year ago, I decided to drift into a meeting in my old congregation. Why? Who knows, maybe I thought by doing so my mother would love me again....but anyway - I noticed that there were 5 or 6 of the same "diehard JW" families there but otherwise all the people were completely different. It seemed that 3/4 of the congregation left and their seats were taken by a new group of converts. The Bethel presence had also been significantly scaled down. Has this been happening everywhere? Are people getting that fed up (I certainly hope so)?

Apostate terminology
by Mum inmy daughter and i, fun-loving apostates that we are, have some terms we use regarding the wt organization and other cults.
i would like my fellow posters here to tell us their terms, buzz words, etc., to add to our list: to get the ball rolling, two of our favorites are:.
cookie-cutter theology.

A poll of xJWs in reference to blood and guts
by writerpen inin a thread started by uglyduckling she stated that her dreams were: "ghastly visions of bloody mayhem and mutilation, not only of me, but also my husband and my little dog.".
i had been working with a therapist for about a year prior to leaving the borg and one of my complaints was that throughout my life i had a recurring dream of blood and guts.
for example i would be walking down main street where i lived and there would be blood, guts, and body parts everywhere.

I used to have horrible dreams about Demons attacking me. It's funny that when I left they went away... Yet the organization is suposed to protect you from the demons. Huh.

Disturbing Dub Quote...
by SYN inheh, while we'd love to have kids, we aren't too keen on the idea in this system...but the only way to guarentee that is to practice abstinence and we aren't too keen on that idea either, therefore we've "planned" in a way for it, but aren't planning on it exactly either... .
this is very disturbing indeed.
if you're going to bring another human being into this world, it should be a carefully considered decision and done at the appropriate time, when both partners feel it is right and you can support the child.

Eyes Open
by WildTurkey inas i look back at my life as a dub, now that i have my eyes open, sometimes i really feel like a fool, because some of the things we believed are just dumb, shows the power of fear and mind control.

((((UglyDuckling)))) - you're thread title "grieving" says it all. There is a grieving process of fear, sorrow, anger, etc. that you have been and will be going through. Hang in there, this is normal, and we are all here for you. Don't be afraid to lean on others who have been where you have been for support.

I wonder about the people in these congregations
by Sadie5 inthat bill, barb& joe and the pandello attended.
i know they are all separate congregations in different areas.
but are all these people just sitting back watching this happen?

I wondered the same thing myself. How brainwashed do these people have to be to just sit back and watch this happen? I would be in an uproar. But you know how it is, "don't let yourself be stumbled by men, etc.". There ar so many people who say, "yea the people are all messed up but the truth is the truth". This is completely contradictory to the statement "by their actions you will know them". You see, by their actions, it's obvious the truth is not the truth.
