of interest to me is if i move back 70 years from 1914 i am getting the year 1844 which was a known date for the end of the world.. times .... 1844 + 70 years + 70 years + 7 years + 7 years.

so we have the year 1998 ad finally.

but what happens if we split the 70 weeks as daniel 9.25 shows we may extend time !!!.

All Around My Hat.

a guy came in our pub tonight wearing a back to front baseball hat.

after 10 minutes or so he was getting very miffed that no-one wanted to talk to him.

i explained to him that he was offending everyone by wearing a hat indoors, surely, especially as he is a police officer, he was aware that it is extremely bad manners to wear a hat indoors?.

In the late '70's when the JW Family book came out illustrating personal growth by speaking about springs held tight for two long, I imediately thought of the many Englishmen I know. With time and a lot of tender care they can loosen up into fine new Australians.

Baseball caps - great invention for avoiding the sun when the big hat doesn't suit, like when driving earthmoving equipment and the headrest keeps pushing the rim of yer acubra forward. All black and worn backwards when working on the motor or stirring up the misses.

Northern Territory Acubra (Cowboy hat) - best working hat of all, if yer head can take the weight.

Blues Bro's hat - worn with black suit and sunglasses to the annual Narooma Blues festival or if Bathory invites me to another assembly ;)

White canvas hat - for seakayaking and the beach.

Straw hats - garden, beach and cruising the coast.

white terry towling hat - YIKES! (my reaction opening a xmas present from fashion freak daughter)

Hey Avenger,

I enjoyed Cygnus comments. It was good for me to finally see where he's at. Show where the watchtower promotes murder or theft and you'll have the makings of a point. While we're splitting hairs why not jump on the other two of Cygies wild ideas:

3) there is no three-headed god

4) when you die, you are dead

I'm sure i saw a three headed God in an Indian temple and i'm not so sure about how dead some dead people are.

last year on h20 focus drew my attention to reading tolkien's lord of the rings.

i'd long appreciated the artwork and finally got arround to reading the book a few months ago.

G'day Cpiolo,

I saw a good little Australian film a few weeks back. It stared one of our favorite singer/songwriters Paul Kelly. "follow the moon" is a true story about racism, the loss of a child and ends with the main character walking off into the sunset with a 303 rifle .. followed by the crack of a gunshot.

Beautiful little film, the music was haunting, it touched on deep themes and held the audience spellbound.
