If greenlees was such a pervert with children why wouldn't somebody come forward with some damning information? If he abused children as is suggested, wouldn't it eventually be publicized? After all even if Bethel has its secrets , this one seems too huge to keep concealed.Maybe in the 80's things might not be brought out, but now with so many people who were in Bethel, out, it seems like there should be some real verification.....btw...I believe all these allegations are probably true, it's just not provable to critics.

DO YOU APPRECIATE THE CONVENTIONS??
by minimus inthis gem is from the aug.1st wt.
it tells about how in one south american country, every year witnesses walk for miles through the jungle and then travel for hours by canoe just to make the convention.
it is not uncommon for someone to fall into the river or to snag his garments on a bush, therefore their appearance is not quite appropriate.they look somewhat disheveled.

I understand that the lion actually apologised for interrupting the brother while he was trying to get to the assembly and the brother rode on the lion's back so that he wouldn't miss the opening song and prayer. A circuit overseer told me so.

To Applaud or Throw Up - Which?
by metatron ini pointed out the evidence that the society is sneaking away from.
the blood issue to a 'loyal' relative.. she replied "well, that's good then, right?".

They leave the organization because the majority are born in the religion. They leave because of the restrictions and their own unbelief of "THE TRUTH"

Wow matty...after that list i am feeling soooo guilty.Kinda reminds me of when I was a little kid. My mom would tell me i should eat my vegetables because of all the poor people who were starving. I always felt why not just give it to them? I guess if they really want to go thru croc infested rivers....better them than me!

JWs: No Social Conscience
by Room 215 inof all the delusions a jw labors under, perhaps none is more tragic than the one that deprives him/her of the truly satisfying reward of spontaneous help to a fellow human being in need.
this is achieved by the promulgation of the notion that the jw ``join us or die'' ministry is the single most worthwhile endeavor any human can aspire to, and supercedes any other claims on a jw's time, talents or resources.
although wts literature targeted for public consumption cleverly words any reference to charitable works to deliberately create the misimpression that jws excel in this regard, the social pressure within the organization against involvement of significant effort and time in humanitarian voluteerism is palpable.

So i take it thay you don't think Jehovah's standards are reasonable? I mean, isn't that the way to show appreciation for the fine spiritual buffet?

So, they take time to sew on buttons, repair zippers, and wash and iron their clothes so that then can be worn for the convention. They cherish their invitation to feed at Jehovah's table, and they want to dress appropriately.BTW....the question for this paragraph is" why can we say that Jehovah's standards are reasonable?"
