  Growing up a Gay JW

  that for me was just about the hardest thing to deal with growing up.

  my mum was a witness, my dad never was.

  many times my mum would struggle to get my sister and me on a bus to get to the kh when we were little kids, despite suffering from nerves herself, without dads help.

  how many times did you hear that before you were baptized?

  i got a little tired of it when someone called me and said that.

  this was the first sign of the control thing.

  I too only go to Sunday meetings and am an inactive JW. At every meeting I attend the same Elder comes to me and says the same old words:" It's tood to see you!". Argh!!!

  HELP! How do you answer the Elders without incriminating yourself?

  i?m due soon for a shepherding call from my congregation elders for a variety of reasons: being irregular in service, s poradically attending meetings, and o h yes, writing in a letter to the society asking for clarifications on the blood ban.

  i?m sure that one question that they will be asking me is: d

  o you believe that jehovah is using the organization as his only approved channel of communication?

  Future Young people ask video?Who is Ray Franz?

  Hello and welcome.

  The WTS will never mention Raymond Franz by name, although they have alluded to him in recently articles when talking generally about apostates and "proud ones". They will not want to give Mr. Franz any publicity, nor stir up any curiosity amonst the rank and file as to who he was and what he did.

  If the general JW population were to be exposed to Franz and/or read his books, a large percentage of the membership would disassociate themselves or fade away.

  Raymond Franz might very well be the greatest threat to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York Inc., even a greater threat than a government ban or persecution. In reality, the WTS has been at war with "apostates" in general and Raymond Franz in particular since the late 1970's.

  ?Awake!? responds: Christians refrain from any celebrations or customs that continue to involve false religious beliefs or activities that violate Bible principles. Foe example, the Bible definitely puts birthdays celebrations in a bad light.

  It appears to me the Watchtower is not permitting birthday celebrations.

  basically it deals with babylonian astronomy, king lists, chronicles, synchronisms etc.
