i remember the week she was born very well.
i have watched tennis since the late '70s, and i remember when billie jean king was a star, when jimmy connors was a hot new thing, and when "virginia slims" matches were shown on wtbs.

I listed in my OP references to the NWT-like parsing in Greek sources. Note that mostly these are references to how others parse the text and the comments are either critical of this parsing or presume the majority parsing as the default. The possible indication of parsing in the Codex Vaticanus is new to me. If it is a legitimate instance of punctuation, then possibly we might include B among the exemplars of the "Truly I say to you today" parsing. As mentioned before, D has a "Today you will be with me in paradise" parsing. I don't know anything about conventions of punctuation in uncial codices, so I would like to see some specialists weighing in on this, as it is unclear to me whether this mark is a blot or conforms to scribal practice. This discussion by Wieland Willker seems negative but inconclusive: http://www-user.uni-bremen.de/~wie/TCG/prob/Lk-23-43-B.pdf. A negative opinion is obtained here (possibly the same person?): http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/b-greek/2001-June/017146.html. I marked in yellow the word yawmana "today", and in the Sinaitic and Peshitta it is preceded by a dolat (red arrow) which represents a prefix which has a meaning similar to "that" or "what", i.e. "Truly I tell you that today ...." The Curetonian text, on the other hand, has that dolat prefixed to the subsequent word `ami "with", i.e. "Truly I tell you today that with me ...."
I don't really have anything to say about Revelation....it's not really relevant imo. There is some connection with synoptic logia, but it doesn't really attempt to represent the actual voice of Jesus of Nazareth; the author here is relating a visionary experience of the heavenly glorified Son of God, and thus draws considerably on apocalyptic stylistic motifs (with a heavy dependence on OT language).

by smiddy ini thought this deserved a thread of it`s own.. these questions are inspired by previous posts , feel free to take credit for bringing it up guys.. adam and eve were expelled from the garden of eden before they had opportunity, or approval to eat from the tree of life , therefore as " perfect" ?
human beings living in the garden of eden and not partaking of the tree of life they would have eventually died.. so when they were expelled from the garden of eden they were in a dying state .
(is that perfection ?

Although the first human was called ha-'adam "the human" in the Eden narrative and the Cain narrative (both J), 'adam appears anarthrously as a PN in J's genealogical fragment in Genesis 4:25, P's genealogy in Genesis 5:1, 3-5, and the Chronicler's genealogy in 1 Chronicles 1:1.

human beings living in the garden of eden and not partaking of the tree of life they would have eventually died.. so when they were expelled from the garden of eden they were in a dying state .
(is that perfection ?

kepler....It's just that one version, the Curetonian Old Syriac. All the other references I listed aren't translations; they are all written in Greek.
I'm looking more generally in the TLG and LLT for how Luke 23:43 was quoted. Here are more examples of the majority parsing in the Greek and Latin fathers:

Paul thought up the idea of the 'ransom sacrifice'
There's no such thing as a "ransom sacrifice" in the Bible. This is a conflation of separate concepts, like "paradise earth" or "great crowd of other sheep".

acts 2:17 - in the last days, god says, i will pour out my spirit on all people.
your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.. they admit we are living in the 'last days', yet they don't seem to have young men with visions or old men dreaming dreams (at least not inspired ones).. .

That was a scripture that turned on the light bulb for me when I was still in.
How could the "last days" start in 1914 if they had started already in the first century, as clearly stated in the scripture; have the "last days" been going on for two thousand years, how can that very long period (longer than the Jews and Israelites existed as a people prior to Jesus) be at all called "the last days".
