  So, what REALLY happened on September 11, a.k.a. the unknowns...???

  it's getting on to almost two years since the events of september 11, and it is striking how little we know about what happened: .

  we don't know the real names of any of the hijackers.. we don't know what countries they came from.. we don't know who planned and organized the terrorism.. we don't know who financed it.. we have no idea what actually happened at the pentagon (but i know a boeing 757 didn't go through this hole).

  normal video tapes of and from the pentagon building, which should have shown what happened, have never been released (except for one, which poses more questions than it answers).

  Underground NUCLEAR explosions???

  Don't you realize that the heat from a nuclear explosion reaches 2 million degrees? If the surface was only 800 (and who the hell was measuring that at that exact instant in time??? and HOW?) then there is a few billion calories that went missing!

  Lies! The terrorists were Saudi Arabian extremists who hijacked jets and flew them into the towers, melting the steel superstructure and thereby collapsing them. End of debate. There simply is no other explanation that makes sense - no further explanation is needed unless you are seeking to justify some kind of political agenda (like driving a wedge between the Israelis and the U.S.)

  Rem will back me up - Occam's razor is the tool to use to get to the heart of the matter.

  Brother Redneck,

  Drives pickup out in field service, cranks Skynyrd and Black Sabbath (It's not metal, its heavy blues-based rock!) and has a penchant for taking "off-road breaks" the way other publishers take coffee breaks. Has been known to skip meetings to drink Bud and work on his motorcycle, and also lets his beard grow when on vacation. Will only make ministerial servant based on his sheer cheerfulness, but never elder because he rationalizes things like being drunk and playing guitar. Has a great human touch and is only a dub because he doesn't take it too seriously.

  Ahhh, I miss those guys... being a witness was almost bearable when I hung out with my Brothers Redneck...

  LANDMARK DECISION - Vicki Boer vs Watchtower Society

  as most are aware, vicki boer has been long awaiting a decision to be handed down in a case she started against the society in canada.. the decision was handed down today.

  as with any 55 page decision, it will take some time for the legal experts to hash it over and decipher what was said.

  but, in a nutshell..... vicki won.

  The law in the us is that the lawyer can only claim legal fees as a percentage (usually 1/3 but up to 2/3) of the award. Canada seems more civilized, and they naturally want to keep civil awards down because their medical system is socialized (malpractice suits in the US are insane), but it seems only reasonable that they wouldn't demand legal fees from someone with no money. If she did owe a fantastic sum, then she could declare bankruptcy in the United States...

  The muslim world, or parts of it, is at war with the West. They use religion to get their boys to kill us. If we can nullify the religion, we can begin to win the war.

  Pig parts sounds like a good idea. I had no idea they took that phobia so seriously! Let's do it.

  Also, we should nuke Mecca in the middle of the hajj, thus demonstrating that Allah has no power or interest in his followers.

  starting with adam, who said, "the woman... that you gave me... she... made me... eat," we have this penchant to look everywhere but in the mirror.

  Is God responsible for our suffering. Well, yeah. He cursed the ground, He made us get old and die, Revelation (if you believe that acid trip) says that he curses the earth with plagues.

  He does it, so he is responsible. But I don't think He can be blamed, in the sense that he is kicking ass and asserting Himself. He has the might, so He has the right. If he wants to fix it, he will. Who can tell God what to do? All we can do, in the end, is ask for help with our own individual situations and do the best we can. "Tend our garden," as Voltaire said. We have our lives to live and all these big questions like "Why suffering?" are pointless. suffering is here, like weeds in our gardens, and we can sit and blame god for making weeds or we can get off our asses and pull them by feeding the hungry and curing the sick, like Jesus and Mohammed and Moses and Buddha and Voltaire all said to do.

  Our individual lives and efforts are made meaningless by our deaths. So occupy your time by "pulling weeds" and forget about your eternal future, because you don't have one. If you do, it's in God's hands, eh, so trust that it will work out all right in the end and pull those weeds. Except those weeds in my greenhouse, those are my personal weeds and I'll share but only if you don't pull them...

  1914, how does the Watchtower calculate this ???

  okay i haven't been to a meeting in 15 years and my memory has slipped on this one, so to the best of your knowledge how does the watchtower come up with 1914.. i understand the 607 bce jerusalem thing, (which we know is wrong more like 587/586).

  i understand the gentile times / seven times thing that gives you 2520 years ( 7 x 360).

  i understand the day for a year calculation.. but the part i don't get is why only 360 days for a year and not 365 or 365.25, you can't calculate only 360 days a year through history because it would throw everything off.. hey maybe the watchtower will get "new light" on this and change it to 365 , it would give them an extra 35 years to work with ????.

  Dub cars unattended

  it's the district assembly for those in my congregation today.

  this morning i saw about 20 dub cars parked in a public parking lot.

  they left their cars there and took the bus to go to an assembly.. .
