  Ok, We Need To Talk About The Latest Caleb & Sophia Cartoon

  (as of 10 sep 2020) there's a new caleb & sophia cartoon in which the org puts into the minds of children the idea that celebrating a birthday will cause jehovah to not want to be your friend anymore.. https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/children/become-jehovahs-friend/videos/trailer-jehovah-forgives/.

  can you imagine being 6 years old and thinking god himself is no longer your friend because you blew out a candle on a birthday cake or wished someone a happy birthday?.

  as bad as all this is, the birthday thing is just one of many jw rules that isnt even supported by scripure.

  Is There a Higher Conscious

  most of the individuals here from what i have read have gravitated to believing in evolution for various reasons and no longer have a belief in a creator.. the questions begs though, is there a higher conscious in the universe than mankind's.

  i am sure everyone agrees that animals are conscious, but to what extent can they reason?.

  You just have to know how to interpret it correctly.

  ...and totally be ignorant of all modern scientifically acquired knowledge of the world in which we live, which is why people still today fight over their beliefs which were mostly created thousands of years ago.
  

  The ancients had to endure over their ignorance so they created fictional mythological stories to give answer to what they saw and experienced.

  The Re-Opening of the Kingdom Halls

  it's been six months since the kingdom halls have been closed.

  i believe here in ontario, canada that you are now allowed to have up to 50 people congregate together.. that was the average attendance before they did all the merging of the congregations.

  they should have went back to the original pre-merger congregations.

  Quite frankly I dont see them selling off anything unless the congregation numbers goes down to a point it cant sustain itself, just like without the Covid problem.
  

  The WTS/JWorg is just operating under the restrictions instituted by local governments, once these restrictions are lifted perhaps by a vaccine publicly distributed they will be back at the Kingdom Halls brainwashing people there.

  "I still miss it Dad" My 41 Year Son Admitted

  on the 18th of september i turned in my disassociation letter in to the tigard congregation, 19 years ago.. my son turned in his letter in november 2001, 19 years ago shortly after me.

  he was 21 years old.. two days ago we were working together on a wrap for his a/c unit on his bus.. out of blue, he says "i still miss it dad.

  not the religion.

  Interesting how fake news became synonymous with D Trump but certainly he wasn't the start of it to be sure.
  

  The internet has become an avenue or vehicle to dispel unproven facts, rogue ideologies, conspiracies and good old fashion sensationalized bullshit.

  Being in association with a lying corrupt and deadly cult is never a good thing for anybody.

  You can make better and real friends without being in a religoius cult.
  

  Yes sometimes I think about where and what happened to the friends I made at the Kingdom Hall, some good people some bad, I resolved also that many probably left the JWS as well.

  People are generally social and caring upon each other so when you live in a environment of group think and group identity it makes for a psychological situation of these are my loyal and true friends and further creates a basis of self worth and value.

  The problem with those accepted values is that it is actually harmful to each individual on many levels, such as being saturated in human ignorance and fear.
