Ohh, what a beautiful WT propaganda!
Now, I bet if 2 or 3 elders organize themselves to provide help for the homeless, the sick, the disabled etc., they would be severely counseled against it. But if there is a WT seal of approval, then it's fine! It makes for good propaganda.

in 1989, we as jw's distributed and studdied many articles in the watchtower.
i remember one study article in particular that indicated that the preaching work would end by the end of the 20th century.
when the year 2000 came around, i searched bound volumes and the watchtower cd, but couldn't find the statement.

Thanks a lot for posting that. That's a real good one. May I ask you this: would you scan it with a little smaller BPI so that the picture gets smaller (90 BPI will do it) and without the red circles? (I'd like to use them in my website http://www.observandoomundo.com).

If you really want the picture to appear in this page, you should click the HTML button on the bottom of the page and use the <img> HTML tag, like this:
<img src="your link goes here"></img>. The result will be something like this:
This last method is not advisable though, due to the increase in page's load time since you're forcing the picture to be embedded in your message.

Here is how to post pictures so that they appear on the board here:
1) open an account in one of those picture storage websites such as www.strike9.com (it's FREE)
2) place your pictures there
3) place a message here with a link to where your picture is located; one link to each picture.
Example:
If your type http://www.strike9.com/file.aspx?path=/observador/fullsize/page104.gif in your message, people will see this here:
http://www.strike9.com/file.aspx?path=/observador/fullsize/page104.gif

it goes into the usual wt waffle about the persecution and harrassment of jws, religious freedom etc, but the following quote caught my eye:the study also revealed a much higher level of education among jehovah's witnesses (when compared with that of the average muscovite), which tends toward independent rational thinking and decision-making.
now, this would give joe public that the average jw is therefore able to think for himself, and reach his own conclusions independantly.
