yeah i've decided to say goodbye folks.. i've had some interesting discussions on this forum, yet i will cease to operate as an active member as of now.
i came to this conclusion via a number of reasons; .
(a) many people on this board have had such a bad experience as a witness that they have decided to deviate so much from the bible and what it tells us.
Bye
Wish you many revelations for yourself!!

just a reminder, in case you forget, or perhaps did not know, tonight, if you live in north america, you advance your clock: + 1 hour
so...you lose one hour sleep.
here, we change the clock at 3:00 a.m., but of course, change it maybe before you go to bed, or when you wake up tomorrow morning.
thanks for the reminder RayzorBlade. I love day light savings time. I am also off this week-end from my job. Not too effected by the change.
It has more of a effect on me in Fall. Loosing the light.
take care, OCW
i'd really like to know.. my experience was that women who were raised in the "truth" and married to a good jw brother did not know how to make decisions.
from reading this board, this would, however, appear to be the least of their problems.. what specifically, if any, were the problems associated with always being told you were a second class person and not capable of making decisions?.

I was'nt raised as a jw. I certainly sold my soul in being subjection. 14 years too long)))))))))). and having lack of self-esteem and self-worth compounded the living conditions.
Looking back over those years observing other women.I felt they were like robots. Like being too sterile.I remember being around two elder wives. envying them for being feisty and up front. Standing up for themselves. I thought how can they get by without being reprimanded. Of course these kinds of behavior was'nt shown in public. Only at their homes.
My encounter with the judical committee show the colors of subjection. Shared the experiences of abuse. There response was "you know how Men are".????? This sure blew this duck out of water.!!! The "good ole Boy's" club. Sounds like this kind of mentality exists through out the org. What was ironic was one of the committee member said "he wished their was a female on the committee. She would understand"!!!
I did buy my soul back with years of therapy. I walk in to my home everyday and feeling thankful for my freedom. I don't take it for granted. This is going on 21 years. I won't forget where I came from.!!!!
Thanks for the opportunity to speak. OCW
ANXIETY
" Aniety is secretive. He does not trust
anyone.,not even his friends, worry, terror,
doubt, and panic. he has away of glombing
onto your skin like smog, and then you feel unclean.
He likes to visit me late at night when I am alone and
exhausted. I never slept with him, but he kissed me on
the forehead once, and I had a headache for two years. He
is a nuisance to get out of the house. He has no respect for
locks or curtains or doors. I speak from experience. It takes
cunning to get rid of him, a combination of anger, humor, and
self-respect. A bath helps too. he does not like to get wet. As
a last resort. If you are not near a bathtub, wet your face with tears."
This was given to me a long time ago. I like visuals dealing with feeling. It's part of my process in healing.
All the Best, OCW
