  hi all, just wondering how many have given up the man or woman they love for the borg?

  i know it's a painful subject for some.

  i gave up my first love when i was studying.

  Interesting thread and allows me to put the pieces of my puzzle together.

  Before I knew who I was with my sexuality, I had fond feelings for my girlfriend for several years. Never acted on my feelings. The ex came into the picture. Of course I all I knew was the Straight way.

  And did what society dictated. Married this guy that opened the way to jw land. Ex fill her with jw crap. It put a wedge in my friendship. And one day she disappeared!! Never knew why!!! Abandonment issues up the waazooooooo.

  One of those lost loves.

  I I just heard on the news the death of this priest. I am not surprised. Prisoners have there code of ethics. When it comes to abusing women, rape and sexually abusing children. They have no tolerances for those people.

  If not death and they can make a living hell for these characters. I am surprised they did'nt have this priest isolated.

  i just had a really bad day at work.

  apart from what you'd normally expect from a 15 hr shift, tonight vitually everything that could go wrong did.

  when i got home i decided to have a drink(the first since emans barbie!!!

  Recovery and jigsaw puzzles

  for those who are newly out, and especially for those raised in it, they have a huge task in dealing with all the effects of the abuse.

  they have little or no "self" to build on from a pre-existing self.

  many need to start from scratch and discover things about themselves and learn about how to make good decisions versus being told what to do or asking an elder.

  In my recovery I like working with visuals. Interesting putting the pieces of the puzzle together sometimes I think it fits. The piece is not quite right. Having to seek out another piece.

  Pat Garza Tribute from Silentlambs

  pat garza was a victim of sexual abuse and had lived in abject fear for many years.

  however, there was a radical change in her perspective on life during her last months.

  her death in june after battling with cancer was a source of grief to those who knew her.

  Thank you qwerty for posting.

  I was touched receiving this in my e-mail from SilentLambs. To acknowledge her as a person.

  She is a hero in my eyes. After the encounter with her and the SilentLambs March. I gave her a rose quartz stone for her to carry in her pocket. She was in alot of pain at the time. Little did I know she was going to be on the platform at the WT headquarters and share her story. Very empowering to watch her move the pain in speaking out. I won't ever forget her.

  There was a couple that was her support from the West Coast. They had taken a picture of me and her. She wanted a picture of the Stone Lady. If there are others on this site who knew the couple or are friends on this site. I would like a negative ? This may be a shot in the dark. Worth a try.
