Today's watchtower admits they appoint people who are sinners
by hoser infrom paragraph 12. one brother began viewing pornography at the age of 12, and he continued to do so in secret for over a decade.
he relates: it was very hard to admit to my wife and to the el- ders what id been doing.
but now that i have admitted it, i feel that a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders.

Supposing the porn you're watching is a home movie of you and the wife?
.
This is a sin for two reasons:
1. Even when married, a JW must deaden sexual desire (most do this very well),*
2. time spent making a home sex movie is time stolen from WT. You could've been out in field service, building an assembly hall, reading the latest WT, or going over your finances to see how much more money you can give to the GB so they can add more amenities to the Warwick Country Club.
.
* sex is wrong unless you are a pedophile elder. In that case you can rape all the children you want, so long as there are not two witnesses to the rape.

Have you noticed the common practice is to knock indivual's self esteem?
by stuckinarut2 inin another thread, one of our members made a comment that caught my attention.. i have been trying to put my finger on a practice amongst the org and witnesses in general.... as soon as someone does something well, accomplishes something, or excels at something, the atmosphere effectiveley 'kicks them in the gut' to bring them down.. anything that makes a person grow or develop is blatently discouraged and therefore self esteem is squashed!.
the constant message telling a witness to be 'humble' is designed to suck any sense of growth or 'betterment' out of a person..... therefore this leaves the average witness to be a blubbering mess of insecurity and instability completely dependant on the organization...kind of like a 'battered-wife' scenario.... .

Aside from their obsession with control, I think the core of WT leadership's approach is really projection- they are empty and unfulfilled and fill that vacuum by projecting their emptiness onto the R&F, essentially making it their issue too.
.
In truth, the constant bashing reveals how small the leadership really is. They have nothing to build a person up, so resort to tearing others down to make themselves feel better through pseudo moral superiority.

The organization is guilty of not following some the very counsel it gave in some of the paragraphs.
.
It's acceptable...as long as the is GB doing it. Isn't it a nice arrangement?? WT lives by the axiom, "do as we say, not as we do".

Jesus and the Money Changers - Matthew 21:12, 13
by Oubliette init occurred to me that there is a particularly relevant scripture in connection with all the recent changes regarding donations, pledges, loans, tithing and all the rest:.
jesus entered the temple and threw out all those selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.
and he said to them: it is written, my house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a cave of robbers.

So true. Yet, when the men-worshipping JWs are told by WT that it's "all for Jehovah", magically hypocrisy transforms to Theocracy, and all is well in the Kingdom of the Deluded Sheeples. As long as JWs hold onto the fallacy that the GB speaks for God, no level of absurdity or hypocrisy is too high to combat the self-imposed gullibility of the masses.

Taking a blood transfusion is a worse sin than committing suicide
by EndofMysteries inaccording to this news report http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-27292918, a jw cut his wrist but was caught before he died.
if only a blood transfusion will save his life, he is refusing based on belief as a jw and is supported on that, including his jw father.
it's funny many religions put suicide as a really bad sin, but in this case it shows on jw standards taking blood is worse then suicide.

Where are the scriptures to support that?
.
They don't exist....just like almost everything else WT bases it's ridiculousness on.

Holy Spirit also appoints pedophiles, then makes sure WT runs interference for them to avoid being caught by the secular judicial system. Let's not forget that.

Brothers & sisters reading this, compare how many hours you have put in your monthly report, with the number of hours you have spent just going to visit your elderly/lonely/unwell fellow Witnesses
.
As Ray Franz pointed out in CoC, the most important things a Jehovah's Witness should be doing as one claiming to be a Christian cannot be tallied on a Field Service timeslip, so they simply don't get done. WT is consumed solely with ineffective 'busy work' at the expense of anything having real substance.

"Organized Religion" as per WBTS - Awake! July 2014
by bats in the belfry in.
c.t.
russell 's asking of hs in this matter was certainly not of the same quality as today's spirit-guided knowledge and understanding of the gb.. what do you make of it?.

Here is why Russell has been relegated to the "Who's Russell?" category:
.
"The endeavor to compel all men to think alike on all subjects, culminated in the great apostasy; The union of the early church, based upon the simple gospel and bound only by love, gave place to the bondage of the Church of Rome a slavery of God's children, from the degradation of which multitudes are still weak and suffering" --- Zion's Watch Tower 1893 Sep p.264
.
And, it's a huge leap in logic to say that 'do not forsake gathering together' means organized religion. WT seems to conveniently forget that the Bible says "if two or more are gathered in my name, there the Spirit is also". Hardly a foregleam of a systemetized, corporatized, scheduled way of dictating meeting and believing.

WT has abundant evidence...it's just invisible.
