I wonder how many missionaries end up in gay relationships
.
Where do you think the "Missionary Position" and "back calls" came from?
article is basicqlly about families where a spouse is working away from home for an extended period, etc...a foot note says basically that some studies have shown that working away from home can cause serious consequences, such as infidelity, homosexuality, or incest.
.
pull it up on jw.org...that is what it says.

tell me what acheivements have been acheived that are different than what are proclaimed by protestant religions .in the 100 years of christs reign according to jehovahs witnesses , is their anything that stands out as jehovahs witnesses have more direction ?
from god ?.
if you look at their history , google , you will see they are nowwhere near being spokespersons for god .. smiddy.
Everything has happened just as WT said it would happen....it just happened invisibly. If you can't see it, obviously you lack faith.

well, if masterbation leads to homosexuality, why not working away from home ?
.
*** yy chap. 5 p. 39 pars. 9-10 Masturbation and Homosexuality ***
In fact, masturbation can lead into homosexuality. In such instances the person, not satisfied with his lonely sexual activity, seeks a partner for mutual sex play. ..... 10 This happens much more frequently than you may realize
so my wife and my parents are at their convention today.
this will be the first time in my life that i will not have seen a drama or baptism.
i will miss the public address, i will not see many of my lifelong friends that i have moved away from.
"Please don't throw it all away."
.
This statement is always made by JWs...but in reality, it is the JW that throws away their friends and family, not the other way around. When a person decides to quit going to the meetings, invariably they also state a desire to keep their friends and family in their life.
But, sadly in JW Land, it's one or the other. There's no room in their lives for their religion and family that simply sees things in a different way.
heard from a reliable source that this was part of friday's program.
they even interviewed a "former gay man" who "kicked the gay habit".. evidently kicking the "gay habit" is difficult, not unlike quitting smoking or avoiding sugary snacks.
the persons who related this to me found the whole thing to be laughable at best, but honestly seemed quite disturbed by it (which is good!
Evidently kicking the "gay habit" is difficult
Probably not nearly as difficult as the governing body trying to quit the "I'm a big asshole" habit.
.
they decide what's really important is discussing what less than 2% of the population do in bed
Ironically, this criticism comes from Jehovah's Witnesses, a group that makes up less than 1% of the population.
transhuman mentioned that someone on the board suffers from thread envy.. are you jealous of other posters who just seem to be able to generate responses to their threads?.
lol..
Did you know that Samaria was called Shomron? Why didn't WT writers let us know that?
.
For the same reason they didn't tell JWs until 2010 that "generation" actually means "overlapping" or until 2013 that the faithful slave is not all the anointed but only 7 old farts in Brooklyn.
so the bro.
who yapped his way through the final prayer recap yesterday made this statement, "thank you jehovah for the governing body and the it brothers who have made the technology we have used to tie in with the ic.
we know that technology, has through their hard work creating it, made it possible for hundreds of thousands to be united together at the same time.
If the WT invented this technology ("made it possible), why were they openly condemning it not that many years ago as a tool of Satan?
Idiots.
if gods kingdom is anything like the laws of leviticus and other books, it will be tough on women and children.
a man gets into a fight with another man and his wife impulsively grabs the offenders testies.
her hands are cut off.
I'm going to do some research on how women were treated in the Bible.
.
No need to read the Bible...just look at Islam. They really are a throwback to a 3,000 year old mindset and have much in common with Jehovah's™ methodology.
being my 1st post i figured i should relate a personal experience.
a few months ago i decided to stop reporting time.
i'm mentally out of this cult now but still trapped because of family.
What is truly ironic is that these elders grilled you for 28 minutes and stressed repeatedly that, 1) we cannot think for ourselves, 2) we must listen to and obey whatever the Governing Body tells us to do.
Then the elder says he "doesn't care if JWs look at porn, it's natural, we were made to procreate". Really? That's NOT what the GB says !!!
This is the hypocrisy of JWs, especially elders. While claiming to be fully loyal to the GB, when it comes to issues they personally are not in agreement with, they have no problem defying the GB.
Personally, at the point, I would've told the elder, "obviously you disagree with the GB on the issue of porn, and I disagree with them on the issue of reporting field service time. So, I guess we're both doing our own thinking, aren't we?"

Welcome to the rest of you life. Stay with your new journey.
the watchtower publishing house has been going strong now for over 100 years, publishing numerous.
books and magazines, many which are now out of circulation.
many of the doctrines created by this.
@ Vidiot...are you suggesting that the live-forever-on-a-paradise-earth pitch just might sound like it's "too good to be true"??!!!
Lord Shirl sayeth: No, it's as believable as "I have some oceanfront property in South Dakota I want to sell you".
.
@ James Brown: But the best I can see they are all kindergarden.
That's what I was hoping you'd say
