  would any of us defend the right of a medicine manufacturer to advertise curative powers without side effects when evidence to the contrary was indicated?.

  would any of us defend the right of a pharmacist to make up his own prescriptions and pass it off as what our physician specifically gave to us?.

  would any of us approve equal time for tv advertisers to promote products as effective which had repeatedly proved to be dangerous?.

  It seems a Tad odd to me that a Group who goes all out door to door preaching to spread the word should object to and spend thousands of Dollars taking down a Website, which is spreading their words for free!

  How much money does the R&F give to the WT?

  that is a very difficult question to answer since the wt doesnt publish its accounts.

  but some countries require from charities to make public theirs finances.

  i've been thought the wt accounts published for canada, uk and new zealand for 2012. .

  In the uk you can see all the funds taken spent and the balace this is for all charity's that don';t pay tax

  this applies to each sepetate congregation so they all need to keep a set of books its interesting to look up all the congerations on the charity.org websites to see who the poor and rich ones are.

  Makes no difference they all still beg for contributions no matter how much they have in the bank

  this'll probably get me disfellowshipped eventually but it's been hella fun!.

  so lately every time an opportunity arrises while speaking to other jdubs at the meetings or assemblies or even just overhearing their conversations about new light or new publications, service, anything really i drop little things that pass unoticed by most but make some stop and think for a minute.. for example, after one sunday meeting, a brother came up to me with about 5 other jdubbies to poke fun at me saying, "i thought you said you never sat at the front?!

  Well done informative video of how the Watchtower Corporation psychologically damages people in its intent to control and exploit

  this youtube video put out by a once member of the jws, goes into concise detail the extraneous efforts the watchtower corporation intentionally goes into luring people into their organization to only exploit them as its own controlled and subservient sales representatives for their publishing empire.

  its a bit long to watch in both parts, it might be a good idea to just not watch it but rather listen to the audio portion alone.

  as the video plays along, how many points does this guy hit the nail on the head as to correctly identifying what is really happening and going on in this religious corporate hybrid organization ?.

  Most of the Jehova's Witnessess I have spoken to were born into the religion

  I guess a large proportion of those are able to from an escape plan when they see through all the bull....

  When your freinds and parents become your Jailor then its little wonder JW have phycological problems.

  What I find puzzeling is that people with no connections to the watch tower and JW can become able to beleive such hogwash.

  and become entrapted.

  I guess if Cults can convince people to believe that martians are comming in a spaceship next week to save us from the end of the world.

  Then i guess the WT nonsense can seem quite a sound and reasonable doctrine.

  When I started a bible study with them, just for the discussion i soon realised no real discussion was possible just a question with the readily supplied answe for you to agree with

  it must be true its in the watchtower magazine.

  Once they started on Noah shutting the doors on his Ark while all the non belivers scrambeled to get on board ( alas too late ) I had heard enought .

  I stopped reading the Noddy books at junior school, the internet is their biggest threat. but of course most of them seem to cowed to look see

  afew years ago an elder at a witness gathering decided to dress sort of like elvis...i mean he had a white suit and big belt with sunglasses...called his wife pracilla etc.

  big deal...he sang love me tender..etc.

  all the witnesses clapped and cheered.

  what would happen if a jehovah's witness claimed to see an angel or have an angelic experience?

  what would the reaction of the church be if one of the governing body claimed to have seen an angel or have an angelic experience?

  by "angelic experience" i mean being shown future events by an angelic presence.

  i just recently friended someone i knew many years ago.

  they have been disfellowshipped for a number of years.

  i am currently not da'd or df'd so if the elders wanted could they disfellowship me for having a fb df'd friend?.

  WT Mar 15th 2012 - 144,000 no longer a literal number?

  reading idly through this magazine , i read the study article "rejoicing in our hope" which discusses the two "hopes" according to the wtbts ie heaven & earth.. a couple of points were of interest:.

  (1) absolutely no mention at all of the 144,000 or rev 14. usually an article like this would be filled with references , but it isn't even mentioned.

  it does discuss the "limited number" , but only in contrast with the "no man can number" great crowd.. (2) a much more laid back attitude towards the two hopes.
