Life after JW
by bsand20 inhaven't been on this site since fall of last year.
i was very active in spreading awareness and getting information to help me cope with the fact that my mother cut off complete communication with me as of jan 2014, but i guess too much of a good thing was too much for me to handle.
i ended up getting panic/anxiety attacks.

I go through it to a lesser extent. Forget the crap behind and move forward to your beautiful life ahead! You are gonna have a baby! That is such wonderful news. Now you have a chance to teach your child what real and unconditional love is. -

Why is the Governing Body pushing the very young(5-12 year old) into getting baptized into subservience to the Corporation?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini think a very simple reason may be because the very young are pretty much the only ones naive enough to take the plunge these days.
with the internet available to inform people about the deceptive lies printed by the wt corporation it seems that they are getting their member from the less informed population like the elderly and the very young.
they/gb hate higher education because they loose members who get one and so they are focusing on those that are dumb enough to believe their boogie man bull shit about jehovah choosing their corporation and anybody not a part of it he will destroyed at armageddon.. also we need to consider that they view these young people as a potential free labor source so the sooner you get them hooked into baptism with the threat of disfellowshipping you can get more free labor out of them..

This issue really sets me into a flying rage. I was baptized at a competent age, even still, I had no idea about the depth or details of the rules and policies of this organization. I mean for those of you who were born in like me, how many of you honestly felt concern over the second baptismal question that we are required to say yes to. Nobody really considers their affiliation with an organization. They just want to get baptized to god and chase girls/guys after getting their new found status.
Whenever I challenge an elder over an abusive policy he basically tells me that I said yes to the second question therefore I should understand the rules, then in a roundabout way I am told to STFU or else. I can't imagine how little is going through these small kids minds when they pledge allegiance to the org. It'll come back to bite the majority of them sadly...

How do you manage to keep JW friendships after you left the organization?
by Bonsai init seems incredibly difficult.
those who leave the org.
(or fade) no longer have anything in common with jehovah's witnesses, nor do they want to stick around to get radiated by the fear and guilt that saturates every aspect of a witnesses' life.. i've lost all but one of my jw friends quite simply because i can no longer condone the evil things that they condone.

Wow. I woke up this morning to find all these great replies and various advice. It really helps.
When I left this organization, I thought I could take some of the good things with me, but I see now that it is just impossible. It takes everything from you until there is nothing left. I still can't believe that my best friend would view the blood doctrine as more important than my friendship with him.
I hate what this religion does to people!

LOL Outlaw! So I'm learning. My last and best friend who is in just exploded at me when I showed him the article of an African woman who died after refusing a blood transfusion. She left behind nine children. He attacked the writer of the articles motive and he lashed out at me for sharing with him the article. I don't think our friendship is going to survive this latest salvo.
It's so hard to not burn bridges with these people...

The Weed AMONG the wheat ..NOT.."the weed overgrowed the wheat" Misunderstood parabel about anointed and about Gods patience
by TheWonderofYou inreferring to tim3l0rd who posted 12 days ago following message (see below) and the postings in which the "scattered" non organised anointed from 100 ce - 1900 ce are discussed, and the parabel of the weed among the wheat, i found out that it is not necessary at all that a "slave class" of anointed does itself distincts frome the weed , founds a new separated church, declares itself clean and holy, and begins a denunciating and destructive unnecessary harvesting.
the slave class of anointed should have better remained in the church and waited for jesus judgement.basis: .
tim310rd wrote: this goes along with the 2013 wt that changed the definition of the fdsl.

I'd like to point out that wheat is good, but weed is way better! I thank god incessantly for all the wonderful variety of herbs we have at our disposal!

This religion is a slow death dealing cancer. It provides false hope, conditional love and loads of fear, obligation and guilt. It causes severe depression and suicides, breaks up families and teaches you to be a judgmental, elitist ignoramus.
I literally do see dead bodies everywhere as I can't get their teachings out of my head sometimes. The sooner you stand up to the bull sh#t, the sooner you can clear your conscience, and live the remainder of your life on your own terms as an independent moral agent contributing to society.
What worked for me was moving to a new cong and rejecting the appointment privately. Get busy making new friends outside of this org so as to smooth the transition from cult friends to genuine human being friends.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses Christian or Cult, Do JWs Offer Solutions for Local and Global Problems of life?
by skepticSam inthe awake on "hope for the homelessness" was one of the worse illustrations how the cult has no love for anyone that can't provide donations to further this spiritual ponzi scheme!
the premise of this awake made no sense, i've read many books and took classes on social issues affecting mankind, the awake does not help fix the problem.
what did this magazine offer those who are suffering the humiliation of living out of their cars or "tent city" or under a bridge?

If you live each day like it's the last day of your life in this world, then you are bound to put a lot of important things off. You eat junk food because you don't care about the long-term effects. You unplug from reality because it no longer holds any concrete significance for you.You ignore the current problems such as homelessness, pollution etc.
JWs as a whole, have lived this way for over 130 years! The garbage has built up, the rust is showing and there are leaks everywhere in the JWmobile. The host (this world) is starting to reject the parasite (JWs) after many many years of blood sucking.

Small details...
by Garrett ina witness friend wanted to meet up recently and talk.
since this person was a close friend and who i thought had a level head, i'd go ahead and speak with him.
our conversation actually helped me figure a few things out not only for myself but also about the witnesses.. so we're talking and i'm telling him my experience and the doctrines that i disagreed with as well as the scandals that made me disgusted with the organization.

You hit the nail right on the head. If you try and wake them up then they will throw the hammer right back at you. No amount of logic, reason, scripture will wake them up if they are satisfied with their situation. No matter how many things I have shared with my still in friend, no matter how much he himself complains, he still in the end says all these things are "cause for concern but not cause for alarm."
GB gestapo fanatical foot soldiers is what they are! Hail the glorious GB of God!

Frank, I've been reading your posts for a while. I don't believe in Christianity anymore, but if there was such a thing as a genuine Christian, I think you would be one of them.
