first, i'd like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to cedars, barbara and the rest of the staff who put this together... it's something we all hope will have great success in exposing the watchtower's continuous deception and manipulation.. however, i don't think it's too late to change the name to something less militant or less confrontational.... my humble suggestion is ... pafjw (pacifist association of former jehovah witnesses).

it was yesterday morning and hubby and i were having a huge sleep in.

it was just after ten, and with me being a bit flu-ey i was quite capable of staying in bed longer.

hubby was feeling it too, and we were pleasantly drifting in and out to the sounds of birds.. then suddenly, cloomp, cloomp, cloomp up the front stairs, then "rap-rap-rap" on the front screen door, that rapid-fire, strong knock of the practiced door-knocker.

Poor Julia ... these guys are like good ratting dogs. They will keep digging at it, and try to break down your defences to get you. The best thing to do is to say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT NOTHING .... Say nothing is best, attitude. thankfully you have some good worldly training under your belt due to your upbringing. You have skills woman. Valuable skills.

This is something we forget when we get owned by wt. These are skills honest hearted people and good jw's NEVER aquire or learn how to hone. They are like lambs among wolves.

i have realised how society '' THE GAME '' works. It's dog eat dog out there. I'm learning so much about all of this. I used to know a lot of it when I was younger, but you forget when your brain has been rinsed clean so it's easier to manipulate and control.

Some people are genuine snakes, no matter what label they go by. Politicians, Public sector workers and 'company men' are masters of the 'game'.

Was just chatting bout all this with my partner ( I have found love and it is amazing - lol)

What is really go on in the world. How important it is to be able to recognise/know 'the game' and to be able to 'play the game'. Stelath tactics, cunning and wisdom are valuable tools.

The thing is these people are highly trained by masters in the game, they are masters. the ruling elite are there in existence because they are masters of the game.

It is so important to be able to look beyond the facade, look outside the box, and see the 'big picture'.

A friend, a very good person, wise person, taught me something very important which I never forget ......... It focuses on deals/sales but is a tactic to be used in any setting in life when your in a situation of 'stale mate' unsurety.

THE FIRST PERSON WHO SPEAKS ..... HAS LOST. ...... the game.

Never be the first one to break the silence and speak, no matter what, just stand there and let them talk, no matter how long it takes.

It is true. Never be the first one to break.

They are circling you looking for your weakness, like wolves, predators. Watch how long they will take to wear down and out manouvre the prey.

Because of the superstition and the stigma of MENTAL ILLNESS and the history of poor treatment for it ....... combined with the fear of being cast out as undesirable (sound familiar, like WT)

People tend to bottle up their emothions and there is no outlet. It's very toxic and literally poisons the person, some can be medically treated and helped, some cannot cope with the constant torture. Because it is just like being tortured from the inside (mentally and emotionally) out. Like an elastic band that is pulled tight - either somethings got to give, release the presssure.... or snap. Broken, can it be fixed, mended,repaired. Sometimes, Not always.

I have learned that when famous / rich / powerful / influencial people get sick and experience these things and the horror of the suffering involved, or they have to watch one of their loved ones going through it. Well, it tends to touch a cord, and said people usually end up a bit more kind caring and sensitive as a result. They learn to change whatever it is that is wrong, that is causing this illness and what is the treatment. Just like cancer and aids and a lot of others.

One of the Golden rules in life that I learned when young is ....... '' Horses are INDIVIDUALS and must be treated as such '' it struck a chord with me and stayed, people are like horses .... INDIVIDUALS and must be treated as such. We are such complex creatures and we are only now discovering and un-locking many many things.

Immoral sleeping arrangement?

i'm reading through the watchtower rule book right now and i came to the chapter clarification and guidelines on handling certain matters.

there is a part about scriptural divorce and even if adultery is not proved if your ex stayed all night or is involved in an immoral sleeping arrangement you can get scriptural grounds to remarry.. .

they make a rule, then they have to make a rule for the rule, make another rule for the rule for the rule.

NOT WANTING TO OFFEND ANYONE LIKE .... BUT ...

I may be worng, if so please explain it clearly to me so that I do understand.

It's not a humanitarian mission, to go in and physically/forceably rescue individuals trapped inseide. (it's not the fire department)

People really need to start taking the initiative themselves - AND MAN UP EVERYONE - instead of wanting others to do all the dirty work and fighting for them.

START PUTTING IN SOME EFFORT YOURSELVES. Instead of moaning and groaning about everything, woe, woe, woe is me. I'm like poor JOB, I'll just sit here in the dirt and scratch my sore, woe woe.

YOU EACH HAVE A RESPONSIBILTY AND DUTY YOURSELF to these people of yours trapped inside. You have to do some work to help. You have to do teh steps necessary to WAKE THEM UP.

You can't just sit back, take the easy ride and let everyone else do it.

YOU cannot make anyone leave or change, and you don't have the right to either. They are using they free will and choosing their path. You have no right to stop them doing what they want to do.

if they IGNORE the warnings, it's their choice, they have no-one to blame for their happiness, they got themsleves into their own mess.

AAWA - i think, is about helping others who WAKE UP and WANT to get out. A refuge, a safe sanctuary, there are loads of charities in the world doing the same thing for people.

It's a life line, when someone reaches out their hand AAWA is there to grab onto, to pull you out.

IF YOUR TOO FRIGHTENED ( for fear of losing something ) to stand up and speak the truth in life, about anything, and are happy to take the easy path and go along with the crowd. Then do that, but don't moan and attack everything else that is positive. i would fight tooth and nail and throw down my life for my children.... and if they were trapped in this cult I would be fighting tooth and nail and I wouldn't care about upsetting anyone or losing anything, cos nothing else matters. You would go into a burning fire for your kids. FIGHT FOR THEM. One day something will click, and they will realise you were right. YOU AT LEAST TRIED to something. have courage.

OH YE OF LITTLE FAITH.
