they 'shepherd the flock' - does that make them more accountable than anyone else for the deception and lies and trickery and deceit.. are they all non-believers who are along for the ride ?.

this strikes me as an important question.
in my short time on this forum it strikes me that many contributors are quite open about keeping a foot in both camps.
some are apparently even elders, serving in positions of authority within their respective congregations.
I always talk to my daughters ( not jw's - thank God now I know what I know - but they know I am/was ) about the importance of education - not just 'school education' but also the education of life, books, but on subjects of life, experiences, people, politics, religion etc..
They say - I don't believe in God.
I say ''why ?. it doesn't matter whether you believe or not. what matters is that you educate yourself on the subject ( any subject ). You have to learn about 'subjects' and have knowledge otherwise your not qualified to debate a subject. to be able to give an opinion, it has to be an informed opinion, or else you are just ignorant.
In light of recent events. I do not know the history surrounding the subject. So I am doing some research to educate myself to the facts.
Could some of the older more informed ones give me some assistance here.

Has he ever given an intro and info on himself. I see it is usual for newbies to do this.
Is something scratching the inside of my brain here ? honestly yes. I don't want to have unfounded suspicions or negativites if they are not founded or factual.
( Was there an ulterior motive from the get go. Was it all planned. Was it all a research vehicle for a book. Were people unwitting guinea pigs. Were people tricked and used. Were peole deceived. Questions in my head I want to answer )

i'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

Children have been removed from their homes and from their parents and families by social services for less than this.
Why can't they take these children away. If they were taken away and learned how to live normal lives and received therapy etc at least they would be able to learn and understand TTATT and make informed choices and decisions.

Cedars wife ! this popped into my head last night. While reading through his exchange with KS. I thought why bring your wife into a public discussion!
Also - if his wife knows the truth about his situation, and is supporting him. Then why is he still in. Why doesn't he leave. Or else if he wants to be president of a big org, whose primary objective is to be a negotiator with GB , why doesn't he do so under his true identity.
Is it that he is trying to run with the fox and the hounds. the reason he will not reveal his true identity is that he will be cast out into the wilderness, and his plans will backfire. He will not then be able to pursue his primary objective as glorified middle man and spokesperson.
before anyone starts on me - I am not a Cedars hater. I do not know him. All of my opinions and thoughts are based on what I have seen and read here since the fiasco started.

went to the weeknight meeting this week for the first time in a long while.
the study was all about how having children was ill-advised in this time of the end- the comments dwelled on what a burden children are, how you can spend more time in the ministry without children, and look what they did in jerusalem- they cannabilized their own children!
it's going to be so horrible to watch our children suffer during the great tribulation!

People really do need to become educated to how the world dreally works. ( not just the net guys ) NOTHING is ever private. Anything you ever do or say CAN and will be used against you, there are a lot nasty, vindictive, spiteful, cruel, people out there, who CAN, will, and often have turned against their own professed loved ones and bombed them totally out of the water.
Many have personal experience of this happening to them. Fortunately this is a place where these things can be shared and talked about so we can learn from them.
Facebook is a BUSINESS now. It's all about the money and power. you don't pay for it, you have no say, it is a free market and it's all about gleaning information.
EVEN PRIVATE MESSAGES ARE NOT PRIVATE REALLY. They are all recorded and kept. You can send off to FBook and request they send you the info and you will get a CD back with EVERYTHING on it.
( I have not done this personally, but a friend told me. I think it was made public in the news. It is not verified info though )
Put it this way, if you were married and having an affair, facebook would not be the place to do it. So don't do anything secret on it.

Do you think people do not have a right to truth and justice ?
If our ancestors had not fought for these very things and sacrificed their lives for us and the greater good of humanity, we would all be living very different lives now.
