Former COs that Become Inactive

some long years ago a circuit overseer told me that the area he was from had several former cos that had "left the road" as they call it and were just sitting on their laurels.

he said that they don't pioneer and some were irregular publishers.

a different co made a remark to the effect of "you think that servants or pioneers live a restricted life, cos are under the supervision of the service dept.

A different CO made a remark to the effect of "You think that servants or pioneers live a restricted life, COs are under the supervision of the Service Dept. and we are told exactly what we are to do and when to do it." He said this with reference to being told that COs WILL go in field service on Sundays.

Does anyonoe know of former COs that are irregular or inactive publishers? I am wondering if the Circuit work opens the eyes to some of these men in the same way that Bethel life opens the eyes of some Bethelites. Anyone?

the jw's under ban in a " landmark ruling", our faithful brother conversing with job in the new world, it' all too wonderful!

especially job wearing pants and a tunic style shirt!

I think it's not the issue that a husband and wife cannot hold hands during a drama depiction. The issue is that Job's wife would not be his wife in the new system, therefore, this unmarried man and woman would not be holding hands. Heaven forbid! Or paradise forbid, I guess.

Seriously, all good points. I have come to, God is what you find within yourself. God is not an experience outside of oneself.

Regret

Y'all are bad. Absolutely terrible.

By the way, every time Jehovah cleaned house and killed off a bunch of folks, things got even worse before long.

After the flood, folks got meaner than ever. After the ground swallowed up a bunch of folks in the wilderness, the rest kept on getting badder. The Kings of Judah and Israel, badder and worser. The regular people in Israel got a bunch of dirges pronounced against them by all the prophets.

And one more thing, Jehovah doesn't like many people.

Abel yes. Anyone else alive, no.

Noah and his direct offspring and their un-named females, yes. No one else.

Job yes. No one else at that time. When Satan said he would kill the kids, Jah was like "big deal."

Abram yes. Only Abram in the whole world. Jah didn't really give jack about Isaac.

Moses yes. No others, not even Aaron.

Daniel and the 3 young men, yes. No one else.

the only reason i am posting this is because i know many of you are going or will be going through something similar and wonder if it is worth it.

i personally feel that it is worth it regardless of what i lose.

my wife is backing me and i have my children.

I was very nice and polite to everyone. I wanted to yell "Don't be freakin moron parroting this nonsense!!" But I didn't say it. Please be as nice as you can muster so as to heap the fiery coals on their heads. They expect us to be vennom spitting vipers. We're not.

Beyond Bitterness?

like many, my path to the ttatt was a long and painful journey.

i wasnt mature or intellectually honest enough to "wake up" while still an active witness.

(i applaud those who have awaken while active; that is mental rigour i wish i had!

The natural reaction to being misled is to be mad as heck and to be bitter about it. It takes conscious effort to have a better experience. For me, it was realizing another truth, that even the GB are victims of the lie. Sure, they perpetrate it, but they are at the same believers of total nonsense. So who can you be mad at?

I see a lot of people here still reference C of C by Ray Franz so I will too. His demeanor was without bitterness. It is a frank telling of events and what led him to TTATT. C of C might be something to reccommend?

Judicial Meeting

so here you are...sitting with a couple of elders at judicial meeting, and you're asked the following question:.

"do you still believe that the fds is the channel that jehovah is using"?.

now is it possible to answer 'no' without being df, or how would you answer that question?.

I won't be attending anybody's judicial meeting but I have thought about how I would answer that question. I would scoff and say outright that that is a ridiculous claim, and then ask what proofs they have that these men are who they believe themselves to be. Turn the question around and put the burden of proof on them.

Whatever they say, just say, "Well that a pretty arrogant claim isn't it?" "How did they decide that the scripture applies to themselves?"
