  since we need to keep the forum "clean" and not use abusive sppech i propose that we adopt the word bingo as a euphemism for bullsh*t. i further propose that all active jw's play this game (as linked below) in the meetings.

  when you have 5 in a row jump up in the meeting and yell "bulls*t".

  at least it will give you a reason to stay awake in the meeting..

  Reverse Thinking

  for years i've been reading and talking to people who are out of the organization either by being df'ed or da'ed themselves from the so called "truth".. my main concern is that once the former jdubs are out, they start to reverse their thinking from everything the jdubs had learned that is considered a "no no", ranging from sex, satanism, getting into pornagraphy, drugs, alcohol, rock music, smoking, reading ouji boards and anything else they can get their hands into that was considered forbidden by the wt.

  even some decided to reverse their thinking from believing "there is a god" to "there is no god".. while i can understand the anger and bitterness that has resulted from realizing how they have been deceived by the wt for many years.

  i am concerned about the destructive behavior that ex-jdubs are getting themselves into.. sure it gives ex-jdubs a sense of total freedom and go wild on everything that was forbidden to them.

  second kings, we learn that menahem, leader of the israelites, smote all the people who refused to follow him and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up (2 kings 15:16).

  later, in hosea, we learn that because the land of samaria rejected god, samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her god: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up (hosea 13:16).

  hosea decided to carry out gods vengeance on the people by killing the unborn babies carried by the heathen women.

  Rem - how dare you do this? Are you trying to say that I am a figment of peoples imagination? Are you trying to say that I want to kill everyone unless they obey me? Are you saying that I am a jealous jackass who tolerates no rivalry?

You must make a sacrifice and send lots of money. I need money because otherwise I cannot get more Bibles printed so that people can find out about me. And you need to sacrifice and cut out your eye if it is making anyone stumble, Rem. Perhaps Farkel can use it as a pizza topping - I know he is looking for new varieties.

  i found an interesting site, where they claim that iraq could indeed defeat the us.

  muslim alliance, most definitely

  I was thinking the other day (tough job for a donkey)...

  How much is the life of an American soldier worth to the USA? Is the life of an American soldier worth 2 Iraqi lives? Is it worth 5 Iraqi lives? 10? How about if all the Iraqi's are civilian?

  I know the answers to those questions will vary greatly. But I know that among American's if faced with the following question "Is one American soldier worth more than all the people in Iraq?" would say yes. That being the case then why not just kill all the Iraqi's by nuking them? The obvious answer is America fears the world chaos that would arise especially on the part of the Islamic countries and is willing to trade American lives to avoid such chaos.

  However, if a "muslim alliance" were to declare war on the US then get ready for a fireworks show. I predict that heaven will not have enough virgins to offer all the new residents if that occurs.

  Ouija Boards

  well, i was talking on the phone to my best friend and we started talking about aliens, spirits, etc.

  and eventually we got around to discussing the ouija board.

  since i was raised a jw and have only been out a year, the ouija board was of course forbidden and even a little scary.

  I've heard that if you use one, you must be very careful, or you could open yourself up to bad spirits. You must have good intentions when you use the Ouija Board. A prayer for protection and wisdom is very important before you use it as well. I have known people who have used such boards and say they are fascinated by them...a lot of what the board tells them about themselves is true! They have contacted spirit guides or deceased loved ones. I would still be very cautious before using one.

  Why is it so easy to find bad spirits yet the good ones never ever make themselves visible?

  Anyone wanna buy some powdered water from me? It's real cheap....take it home, open the bag add 2 glasses of water and stir well. Serves 2 people.

  If Skeptic and WX hate each other fine - I don't really care. That's their right. But all the politicing and game playing to win support for each side and build collateral with the rest of us is sickening.

  My Finale on the Internet - Forword to 3 Parts

  life is tough regardless of whether we were ever jws.

  my own life has taken some twists and turns i did not expect or like ... and i have to focus all my attention now on getting my badly needed open-heart surgery or face death in about six months ... so in the next couple of days, i am making the last of three posts for a while ... then all my efforts will be aimed at getting better, and facing some issues in my life and making the best decisions possible for me and my family.

  i decided to limit many activities because i tend to do too much and neglect some things that i should not ... this is not a good-bye post, but more of a long vacation post.

  Believers and their "Free Will" Dogma

  one of the most interesting dogmas found among believers is the concept called free will- on the surface it starts out sounding reasonable, until you start the ask questions and listen to the explanations that are given , after awhile you realize it has no legs to stand on.

  we are told by believers that god allows each person to make thier own choice and we are not robots and therefore we are able to exercise free will, the only problem is when you ask the question, what about when someone exercises thier free will and it harms someone else, why would a loving god allow someone the free will to hurt someone innocent, at that point free will sounds more like an excuse to give god a bye in terms of having to do anything- i read this posters comment and i couldn't for the life of me see any logic or reasonablness behind the concept of free will when folks get hurt like this person has-.

  one of my earliest memories is of my grandfather raping me.
