  Any Ebay-ers Out There?

  i'm becoming intrigued with dabbling on ebay.

  i've made a bid for some goods and i'm waiting to see if i've "won".. any advice for a newbie ebay-er?.

  UK Inland Revenue have recently obtained all the records of sellers on ebay so as to check that they are paying any tax due on sales!

  Franz - Schnell

  many times on this board people post to say a factor in their leaving the wt was having read ray franz book(s) - many years ago william schnell published a book - 30 years a watchtower slave - have never seen this book but was wondering - has anyone read it ?

  was it as effective as crisis of conscience in exposing the myth of "the truth"?

  - did it have an imact when it was publised?

  Many times on this board people post to say a factor in their leaving the WT was having read Ray Franz book(s) - many years ago William Schnell published a book - 30 Years a Watchtower Slave - have never seen this book but was wondering - has anyone read it ? was it as effective as Crisis of Conscience in exposing the myth of "the Truth"? - did it have an imact when it was publised? - remember seeing "apostates" selling the Schnell book outside conventions in the early 60's - is the difference in impact due to the Internet (not of course available when Schnell wrote his work)?

  Whatever became of Schnell?

  Only a matter of time before KHs have a drive thru for meeting attendance - drive up - collect magazines - drive away - with a handy collection box at the exit for your contribution - sure will beat meeting attendance - -

  this is a registered charity run by a fella by the name of delaney.. you can become an associate and help them to raise money.

  The appeal for funds on the Jah-Jireh site is sickening - resorting to emotional blackmail based on James words - for some years as a cong PO, I received Newsletters from Jah-Jireh (who gave them my address ??) in which they appealed for volunteers, staff from among the brothers and funds - from my observation this arrangement is a sickening play on the good nature of the "brotherhood" - another post asked about cliques - well my view of this is here is another one.

  If anyone had ever tried to appeal for any help/funds etc in this way in the past then the WT would have been down like a ton of bricks - using brothers to your own advantage etc - why do they allow - and tacitly approve - of this ?

  The need for such ho mes should give the residents pause for thought as to when the Paradise will transform this earth - most of the residents will have been waiting for decades, not expecting to be in old peoples care homes.

  The need for this type of care further convinces me of how I wasted my life with the WT - no delivery on any of the "promises" - I can think of nothing worse than to end up in such a home - patronised by the elite and paraded as an example of the rewards of service - some reward!

  These homes doubtless offer "employment" to some on higher wages than the lowly dubs cleaning etc - also what capital outlay was needed to set up facilities which could have such a turnover - where did the capital come from ?

  Am I right in assuming that these are not FREE to residents but charge just as do other homes in the care section of the community?

  From the expenditure/income figures looks like lots of spare cash floating around - anyone know anything about the people behind this?

  Lost a £20 note recently - fell out of my back pocket as I got out some change....was I Jehovah pickpocketed.....did it fly off to a pioneers front door ? ( If you find it PM me and I will tell you how to get it back to me!)

  Whats the Biggest JW contradiction?

  what do you think the biggest contradiction was in jw teaching or logic?

  i remember people confronted us with the argument that maybe over thousands of years the bible has changed, we would probably say any changes were minor, and we have the dead sea scrolls etc that don't vary much from the bible today.

  yet when asked by people with a little knowledge about the bible why the name jehovah was not in any manuscripts of the new testament, we would effectivly says its because they have been changed over time.
