by gma-tired2 ini went back and i was reading butterflyleia past posts.
she mentioned one on the elders on her jc was df'd later.. this got me to thinking how many others had this experience.
my son was df'd 18 years ago.

not sure if i should but i want to, what do you think?
by unstopableravens inim not dfed yet, i told the elders for a long long time the wt is not gods org, i told them what i believed ,jesus being god, born again, yadda yadda yadda, i have not gone to a jw meeting in a long time, i go to church etc.. but what i feel would be a great relief and really help me be free is to come out on here with a pic and not hide behind unstopableravens username, im not sure if its a good idea or not..

The one thing about DA'ing oneself that I personally find wrong is that it is acknowledging their authority.
Simply live your life as if you're really done, if you can.
I'm looking forward to being an ex-EX-JW.

I had my own doubts years before I visited any "apostate" websites. Then when I did, they only confirmed what I'd long suspected.
It was good to know I wasn't alone.

The GB is apparently--or should I say, "Evidently!"--terrified that any of their followers might happen to hear or read anything from anyone that knows The Truth about "The Truth," (TTTATT).
They're trying to insulate themselves the only way they know: Fear!
- Don't reason
- Don't use logic
- Fail to provide evidence or proof for your assertions
- And absolutely never address any of the actual arguments or criticisms of so-called "apostates"
- Just indulge in name-calling ad hominem attacks on your enemies, compare them to Satan, and
- Scare the crap out of your followers by comparing "apostate" ideas to food-poisoning
Their methods are, in fact, yet further proof that the religion known as Jehovah's Witnesses is actually a high-control, manipulative cult.

JW Grammar is...

with that said here are my observations, and i want to know what you have observed.. in my experience i have noticed a trend: zealous witnessestend to exhibit the worst grammar when compared to non-witnesses!.
i want you to think back, or check it out for yourself if you haven't noticed it.. on social networks: compare comments on anything by jws (especially the uber-zealous ones) with those of your atheist or other religiously affiliated friends.

So, The Entire Governing Body Could Go Apostate?
by metatron ini made an effort to plow thru the latest bullsh*t from the wts in regard to the faithful slave, etc.
i must admit that, their latest set of interpretations make more sense than formerly.
they seem to have done away with 4-6 different 'comings' of jesus and they pretty much stuck everything in the future, so they are off the hook in the present.

One of the most common grammatical errors I've noticed is Elders using "you and I" the object of a sentence. They should say either "you and me" or simply "us." This is a elementary school error indicative of the general lack of education among JWs.
But what should we expect from a bunch of undereducated folks. It's so ironic that they think are the elite of the world! What a joke!!!
That being said, I have to agree with Cofty that their illogical "arguments" are far worse sins than bad grammar. But they are related problems which are attributable to a lack of education, particularly in the areas of how to think clearly and how to express those thoughts effectively.
JWs have neither.

DING: Parents often allow their children to make bad decisions which have painful consequences.
True, but that's not the same as a parent sitting idly by and watching their child be abused, molested or murdered and doing nothing when and if they could stop it.
Your point, however is a good one. Often we learn the most from our mistakes. A wise parent will allow those which are recoverable and which are a result of the child's decisions, not someone else's.
DING: I think the WTS tries to act like controlling parents, dictating everything from facial hair to skirt length to shirt colors. Does this make obedient JWs mature individuals of character or simply borg drones?
Clearly, the WTBTS does NOT want mature, independent thinkers; they want obedient followers.
