  Quick update on sharing TTATT with my friend

  yesterday morning i got a message from my friend, the one i shared ttatt with last week and she wanted to meet for coffee.

  this is the story/friend i'm referring to http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/251494/1/ha-take-that-watchtower-one-less-borg-for-you.. i was really nervous because since our initial visit she had told me that two of her other jw friends wanted to talk to me.

  after a little more prodding she admitted that her friends didn't accept what their own wt said about god's name and they wanted to talk to me to "bring me back to the truth.".

  Were You Ever Interrogated By The Elders?

  some elders enjoy giving the business to the lowly flock thru intimidation.

  .

  some love to ask you to enter with them into the "backroom".. of course, there were many that never had run-ins with the shepherds because they were under the radar.. did you ever get interrogatted by the elders and if so, how did it go??

  brother of the hawk, newly enlightened & gojira, recorded an elder's meeting on 5/7/03.

  both does a great job of defending me and making the elders look foolish!.

  thank you raypublisher/jj and jwstruggle for the awesome job you did on it.. follow up story was not recorded but we will post it here hopefully over the weekend.. enjoy, it's pretty hilarious how they try to control us and come after me on a work of fiction!.

  given that 'we are all imperfect and fall down many times' one would expect them to have made at least some mistakes since rutherford founded the jw religion.

  as christians are supposed to be humble, including those who 'would be great among you', should we not have seen evidence of this over such a long time period?.

  Of course you do.Just a couple of fixes needed.

  I noticed a typo in the 8th paragraph. It should read:

  Also, notice that THEY wrapped this minimalistic admission of error in a blanket of "eagerness" which is further dressed in a garment of "commendability."

  I accidently left out a letter and put "the" instead of "they."

  Also in paragraph 15 I used the wrong form of the word "their":

  Again, the passive voice is used to say, "There were statements made." Who made them? What was THEIR source? Why can't they humbly admit, "We said the wrong thing?" They just can't do it!

  That's what happens when you write and don't prufreed kairfooly.

  Let me know how it works out.

  What happens before a Judicial Committee?

  i can't get into much detail, but i might have been caught doing something natural and fun that the gb would have a fit over.

  (i'm not sure at this point if i was seen).

  the elders have called a meeting of the entire body tonight, which is strange since they usually meet on weekends.. i've been worrying and sweating like crazy since then, which i think is the programmed jw guilt switch in my mind going off like crazy.. what i want to know is:.

  Actually, odds are that the local BOE are meeting for reasons that have nothing to do with you. You're probably getting yourself worked up over nothing. Still, it doesn't hurt to be prepared so you won't be caught off guard in the event your paranoia is not unfounded.

  Why do they call it the New World Translation?

  does anyone know why the watchtower named their bible the new world translation of the holy scriptures?

  it's been awhile since i have even had any of their books in my home, and most of the time i don't think about it.

  i don't know why, but when i think of that title, the phrase new world order keeps popping up in my mind..
