  Anybody here ever go on chaperoned dates?

  i use to get the biggest chuckle when the elders insisted that when going out on a date that someone older and mature had to go with you to make sure you don't fornicate.

  how imposing!!

  i have a friend (did the fade) that was stuck with her brother being the chaperone a couple of times when she was dating her then boyfriend.

  ohh this brings to mind my courtship with my now husband, I went to usa and we had a chaperone a deaf sister, my husband is also deaf, and we went to LA for a convention, well our chaperone was a demanding little cow, and decided she was too tired to take my fiance to his motel, we were travelling in her van, well she went and sat in the spa and refused so I had to take him in a taxi.(even though she had demanded so much for gas money to take us where we needed to go) grrrrr

  alone mind you without her chaperoning, well the next day we were in the hotel room and she decided she was going somewhere and left us alone in the room, well the stupid cow that was staying with us 3 in the room also came back and me and my fiance were there, well that led to a 3 hour lecture on chaperoning and not being left alone like it was our fault.

  I was sooooooooooooooo pissed off with her, jumped up little know it all, she was in her early 20's and i am 40 so you can imagine that i wanted to strangle her several times.

  so much for a chaperone ours couldnt be bothered, we never did anything wrong, so it didnt matter but, this chaperoning thing for older ppl in public is ridiculous to say the least, thank god im out of this so i dont have to put up with that crap again!!!!!!!

  where is the love that the societyclaims is amongst it's people?

  i began studying january 2001. i had met a jw man that i truly fell in love with and found that i would at least look into the religion to see if it was for me.

  i began studying with his sister, till she consciously no longer felt that she could continue studying with me, due to the fact that she did not approve of her brother dating me, since i was not a jw.

  aww jacquiline I just want to give you a hugggg, i know exactly what you are talking about beleive me I was a witness for 13 years and i didnt have a boyfriend who was a witness but i was treated just like you, and even after i was baptised, and this is not how jesus or jehovah are, anyone with half a brain can see that u only have to read your bible and learn of jesus personality my friend.....

  take heart that you are not alone, and the creator knows your heart, you hang in there we are all in the same boat my friend...

  ELDERS SCARE TACTICS DISS FELLOWSHIPING

  being reasanable to assume that,they are promoting fear within the congregations,keeping others from asking awkward questions,it seems that no one is interested in the reasons why that other person was named and shamed,what a way to control people , one minute they are your best friends the next minute you bump into them say in the high street and you dont seem to exist within there boundarys or vision ,.

  my remedy .if you are in this position is to greet them very loudly laughingly saying hallo there ,big wave big smile,be carfull of those paedophiles your mixing with.

  ( nice & loud ) next time they see you they will run to the otherside of the road,instead of trying to intimidate you.

  awww man that is so sad, what about when jesus said honour your mother and your father? he didnt say only if they are not dissfellowshipped or not in favour with men did he???????????

  yes my daughter was interfered with by a brother in our congregation, and he was also interfering with a worldly girl who talked and he got 7 yrs in jail, my daughter had to tell the elders in the creche what happened to her all they said was ok thank you, and that was the end of it, she has never been given any comfort or help from them in any way.

  im glad i left i was so unhappy in that religion.

  i am a bad bad girl because in all my years as a jw i always talked to df friends and ones that needed help, i try to be like jesus who always erred on the side of mercy, he even use to counsel the pharisees on their lack of it!!!!.

  he even himself in the account with the woman about to be stoned for a serious crime under the law he dealt with her mercifully and spared her life.. so i dont give a rats ass i still talk to df people no one is going to tell me not to be kind to whom ever i want!!!.

  jesus was asked by someone what he needed to do to gain everlasting life.

  the answer was simple he was asked what did he think

  he said to love god with your whole heart soul mind and strength

  and love your neighbour as yourself

  then jesus said to him good keep doing this and you will get life....

  simple as that!!!!

  i remember watching people so well back when i was growing up and going to the meetings.

  one thing as i look back on was the ban on the bathroom.. you just did not leave your seat to use the bathroom.

  you went before the meeting started, or after.

  yep it happened to me I was an unbaptised publisher at the time and I got called into the hall by 2 elderly elders, at the time I thought they wanted to meet with me to give me encouragement as I had just been through 2 very harrowing high court trials for my x husband raping my small children.

  noooo the meeting was to scold me for letting my daughter go to the toilet too much in the meetings,(she was 4 at the time) not taking into account her history of what she had had to suffer since babyhood, they really got on my case and told me off good, I left that hall in disbeleif and shock.......one sister said say to him ok when my daughter wants to go il get her to do it on the seat and you can clean it up!!!!!!

  even use to get told of for going to the toilet at assemblies.

  they r obsessed with everything, and now i stay home and me and my kids go to the toilet whenever we need to.!!!!!!
