by nelly1 ini had witnesses knock on my door yesterday, oh man talk about deluded, those of you can read my posts from the past to see my story, but when they asked me what religion i was i said x jw not dissed or dissassociated, i breifly told them a few home truths including the short version of how i was treated in the org, this dummy obviously an elder and his wife stood there and said, i can promise you that it is most likely if you come back that wont happen to you again, the arrogance!!!!
i said to them you cannot stand there and say that, sheesh who do they think they are, they dont know what i went through or what kind of wolves lurk in the cong i was in, i told them i had read ray franz book and i said you wont know any of the truths about brooklyn because you are not allowed to look on the net or read anything non jw.. the wife said yes we can we just dont look at apostate websites, i nearly laughed at her, she said to me ray franz was only dissfellowshipped because he went against the scriptures, grrrrrrrrrrrrr they make me so mad, they read me scriptures i already know etc and tried to justify some of the things that happened to me.
oh man dont you just want to scream sometimes???

Some outrageous counsel I received once ...
by Frequent_Fader_Miles ini was reading an earlier thread about ridiculous counsel and i just had to share this one with everyone.. you know how sometimes around christmas time merchandisers would package their products in a more "festive" wrapper?
the largest bread company here does that every year.
well one yuletide season (when i was about 7 years old), i was helping myself to a couple slices of bread and my aunt saw me.

i had some too in my time, once I was called in for having this on my answerphone " sorry I cant come to the phone right now as I am down in the dungeon being tortured for my good looks" some old fuddy duddy sister in the cong called the elders and I got in trouble.
another time it was because I went shopping with my bible student, bad association apparently as she wasnt a witness(YET) suffice to say after that she never became one thank god.
another time got told off because I was in a jw chat room on the net.
then I got counselled because my daughter then 3 went to the loo too many times in a meeting, oh and I was acused of prompting my son to answer at meetings, when all i was doing was helping him pronounce a word in the watchtower or some publication, he was about 7 at the time. during that it was 2 elderly brothers that called me into the hall for a meeting and tore strips off me, this is all during the time that me and my kids were going through high court trials for my husband raping my kids, according to the elders it was all in my mind and I put it into my kids minds,(BUNCH OF BLOODY MORONS) we can see that carried through in the cover ups of abuse in the organisation cant we?
god I am so glad I am not in that organisation anymore, they are so unchristlike its not even funny

oh I had to laugh once a CO we had his wife bought a cd and because it had organ music on it she said it was demonic and smashed it shes nuts, and he the co said that a family here in nz bought some promotional caps for the nz yaght "black magic" and they went home and got demon attacks so they had to get rid of them, oh man what a crock of crap.
there was always talks about demons etc when I was a jw for 13 years, lemme tell ya darling the only demons i encountered were the elders who were wolves in sheeps clothing far more damaging than any unseen entity by a long chalk.

question re a jw marrying a non jw???
by nelly1 ini left the org a few years ago but my friend in the org wants me to go to her wedding she is marrying a non jw, she has been councelled for seeing him and is on reproof, they dont know she is going to marry him shes not telling them till after, all her family are jw some are going, its a civil ceremony, will they df her if she marries him?.

yeah well this is a sister in her late 30's who never found a bro to marry that she was compatable with, she was engaged to one but he turned out to be living a double life, anyway a very close friend whos a special pioneer was told by the elders he cant attend the wedding because she is marrying a non jw, hes in a cong in another town, yet her elders dont know shes marrying a non jw, can the elders tell someone they cant attend the wedding?
because he has told her hes been told he cant go? is there any scriptual grounds for that?

My story

oh my goodness freegirl, I so relate to what you have said more than you could know, be assured that behaviour is so far from christlike its impossible to measure, I think those of us with good hearts satan trys to destroy the most and he even uses things that look like the truth that is suppose to belong only to god.

by nelly1 inwe did one year we heard that our co's wife was caught doing it with a special pioneer than was staying with them, co was taken off the circuit, and our po"s daughter was having a lesbian affair with her roomate, of course i knew before she dissasociated herself i told a sister i knew they were and she told me it was slanderous, then 2 weeks later it all came out, she then ran off with a dissfellowshipped lesbian over double her age, the other lesbian was publicly reproved but i have since heard shes been disfellowshipped for lesbianism, a question?
i thought if you were a po and one of your household was found to be doing something that bad then you had to stand down, is that right?
