Gone for good?
by JH inwhat would make you come back to the organisation?
after the 9-11 events, many were scared of what would happen next, and returned to the meetings.
now that the dust has fallen, in more ways than one, what event in your life would make you reconsider and go back this time for good.. .

And after a third world war, like you say, why not a fourth and maybe a fifth world war. No where in the bible does it say when the end will be or how far man will go in his stupidness.

We once read that a Great Tribulation would start. It's not too far down the road, or maybe it is far away, but just by the world events of the last months I would go with the sooner than later.

losing the shadow of Jehovah.
by sleepy injust the other night i was feeling a bit down and when i went to bed i started to pray , then remebered i dont believe in god.
my whole life i believed there was a supreme being watching over me , who i could talk to and was listening to our prayers.its hard to get rid of that feeling from the back of you mind.
sometimes, when i do something i think i shouldn't , i start to say a quick prayer but then stop when i realise i'm just talking to myself.

I personally believe in God, but does he answer our prayers like we would like. I don't think I ever had a prayer answered. But I still pray once in a while, not like the hypocrits do at Mc Donalds taking the morning break in the field service over a coffee and apple pie just so that all can see that they have a good relationship with God.

What Is The Hardest Thing About Leaving The Truth?
by minimus inif you've left or are considering leaving the "truth", what is the most difficult thing that you must deal with?
is it losing family or friends?
is it feeling isolated?

When you leave the org. you leave a part of your life and a part of your dreams of paradise behind. You also feel as if all that you did in the org. was for nothing, just wasted time, just like an employee who works 40 hours and will never get paid.

Any new halls?
by JH inwhen i joined the org.
in 1988, every once in a while new halls were being built here and there.
i couldn't pass a month without hearing that a new hall was being built.

When I joined the Org. in 1988, every once in a while new halls were being built here and there. I couldn't pass a month without hearing that a new hall was being built. I don't think that many more are being built anymore. Here in the province of Quebec, in my former congregation, I notice how few are still active and preaching regularly. I still know where the meeting places are, and always the same few people show up. Have you noticed their decline also in your neck of the woods?

I havn't been to a meeting in years, but I can still remember when we had to vote on something, it was always 100% for or 100% against. Didn't it bother you to see how everyone looked around to see if someone dared to vote against the general trend? Why were they so radical?

I guess that will never happen, but if it did, they have the money to rebuild a couple of times over.
