  How long will I be a Newbie???

  how long am i gonna be a newbie?!?!.

  i feel as though i've been logging on for years already since now i can't sit at my pc now without having the forum site opened!!

  (productivity is down but morale is up is definitely up .

  i resumed my smoking habit about a year before i left the borg.

  i've been on and off of cigarettes since that time.

  i'm trying to quit (again).

  Are we really apostates?

  if the jehovah witnesses are really the one and only true religion, and we did quit, then i agree that we are apostates.

  but since we seem to all agree that they made wrong prophesies, and changed so often the meaning of the bible, why then do we call ourselves apostates?

  if we quit a religion that didn't have the truth, then why are we so hard on ourselves?

But since we seem to all agree that they made wrong prophesies, and changed so often the meaning of the bible, why then do we call ourselves apostates? If we quit a religion that didn't have the truth, then why are we so hard on ourselves? And if we are really apostates, then why do we celebrate and joke about it?

  We can add, but we can't figure out the starting point of your reasoning. Why did you start with 2009 April 8, or why did you start with DEC 20. I could say the same thing, but starting from a different date and still add 2300 days.

  Spirituality

  many xjws and others i have encountered in my journey express disdain for religion but they instead refer to having found a spirituality.

  do you mean that instead of seeking fulfillment from life that you have made an inward journey to self discovery?

  or do you mean that you have found god by journeying outward?.

  How should we define spirtuality? A spiritual person obeys God's word, and lives by his word. A spiritual person will not go against God's spirit. Do you have to belong to one given religion to be spiritual? I don't think so. As long as you put God first in your life, you are spiritual.

  You can't please all the people all the time

  it's a balancing act.

  it is impossible to please everyone all the time and i don't go out of my way to try to please anyone ... i just do what i think is right.. some good examples are controversial topics: if i lock or delete something that is controversial then i am accused of "stiffling free speech".

  Downloading MP3 Music - Is that wrong?

  how easy it is to download mp3 music on the internet.

  with kazaa, or other sites, it becomes child play.

  do you feel that it's right or wrong for a person to do that?

  How easy it is to download MP3 music on the internet. With KaZaA, or other sites, it becomes child play. Do you feel that it's right or wrong for a person to do that? Of course witnesses wouldn't do that? If you gave an elder a CD of his favorite songs that he used to listen to many years ago, and that he can't find anywhere in stores, and you told him that it comes from the internet, do you think he would accept it?

  How did you feel about 'fake' witnesses?

  i'm sure you know the ones i mean ... they decided to have a family 'present day' on dec 26th each year so that the kids could announce what presents they got while the rest of us 'zealots' were getting the piss taken out of us.. at the time, i could not understand how or why they did it or got away with it - it seemed obvious to me that thwy were celebrating christmas and we were not supposed to.

  but hell, what did i know ... i was only a kid ... not an elder .

  now, i kind-a-think "yeah, do what's right for your kids" but also "you're not fooling anyone!

  In my first years as a dub, I had a neighbor witness, who invited about 10 brothers for a supper at his place. It was on the 25th of December. They never once mentioned the word christmas. But why on that day.... That brother was a very spiritual brother on top of that. Now imagine if I would have done that. I would have been &?%$%

  the idea was "neo-uranianism".

  simply put, the modern-day worship of uranus.
