  For those who don't believe in God

  when we were witnesses, we certainly believed in god.

  some of us were born into it, and others have perhaps come from other religions, while still others may never had any religious faith at all.

  some here on the board now claim that there is no god at all.

  I always believed in God, and I always will. If I exist, it is because of God. Some don't believe in God, and some do. I want to live eternally, and I need God for that. No one can expect to live eternally without God's blessings.

  i havent bothered thinking much about the deeper issues of life recently but why not start again i thought to my self, and i ask the questions what are we and how did we get here?and i ask these in the biggest sense ie, not how did we get here on earth but how and why did the whole show sart in the first place.. its easy to say the universe just happened , we just evolved and our conscious existance is just a freak of nature.but these answers sweep over the main issues which are far deeper.. i learnt to reject ghosts, gods, angels and supernatural phenomena , but my own existance is more perversely strange to a logical mind than any of these, and yet i do exist.. what the hell is it all about i wonder?

  Many answers are in the bible. I still believe that the bible is God's word. Certain things he will tell us, and others are not for us to know.

  Jesus sais that the "Truth would liberate you". I guess that the teachings of the Watchtower didn't liberate you?

  Where have all the jws gone?

  i had a pair of jws visit about 6 months ago,but nothing since,so there have all the jws gone?.

  any explainions.. someone couldn't get them 2 come around?

  at first when we joined, we all choose a user name that would identify us.

  we also had the choice of puting a picture next to our user name.

  often, some change the picture for a better one.

But we can't change our user name. We are stuck with it. If you could, would you change your username for something more appropriate, or do you still like it?

  or what if the date from the time you signed up was missing?

  do you think that some here crave the attention that they receive just by the amount of posts that they create?

  Always Comparing us to Others

  the bible says that we shouldn't compare ourselves with other people either physically or spiritually.

  some would produce 5 to 1, and others 2 to 1. .

  but why is it that the elders always tried to compare us to other witnesses?

  Very often congregations compared themselves with other congregations. The CO would make comparisons of our congregation with other congregations. How many pioneers here compared to there.

  Some congregations were so productive, making so many bible studies. So we were always feeling as if we were in competition with them. And since the elders had our monthly reports, we were not supposed to give less hours than what we gave in the past.

  The Watchtower company wants production, not spirituality
