A question for those churchgoing ones...forgiveness
by ashitaka inthis is in reference to the comments that kgb made on the thread i started yesterday about the molester who was crushed underneath a car.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/54218/1.ashx.
he talked of forgiveness of murderers, molesters, rapists, etc.
i know that many churchgoes feel the same way about this.. my question is, if god can forgive murderers, rapists, etc., then what about those who don't believe in god, who don't have 'faith'?

That does not mean we are not going to die as humans as we all know we will all die in this body but we are saved from the second death the death that is permanant..
I really feel sorry for those of you who claim to be Athiest, as at one time you were proclaimers of God and his word, all the people that knew you when you preached his word and now disown it and others see that, I can only imagine what they think of you now. I'm sure they probably have some pretty nasty thoughts which in turn I also think is sad as I believe that it is our love and understanding thats shows and prevails his name.
Teenyuck, you can add all the little remarks you want that I posted as to tear me down and thats ok because you will no longer beable to get to me, I really don't care what you think of me or what I say or believe anymore. That's what they do best is take away your rights to decide, even though they teach that God say's to be of all things they still look down upon you when you question they're doctrines. Telling me that I was good enough to be a husband was not all that I was told. Things like you could not receive Jehovahs blessings unless you were knocking on doors was another, and that I had to give up all my friends outside of the kingdom hall was another. Well they don't know it but it was them that made me check out all things and you see where I am now, certainly not going to they're meetings. But church was sure good today and I was sure glad to be there........Just not at the kingdom hall (lol)

yeah my light is getting brighter too after I cahnged my light bulb from a 60 watt to a 100 watt. Thats how they cover up they're lies.......as if God changes his mind all the time.....

New World Translation Errors

I'll share a little story, my mother a JW told me that there bible was a litteral translation and that all others were a lie. I asked her by whos saying is this? she proceeded to tell me that there was a group or a society that approved they're translation the nwt. Ok so I got online and I searched for this group until I was blue in the face, I spent so much time trying to find this group it was beginning to make me sick.
So after failing to find this group I went into my bible which is a NIV and found on the first page NY bible society. so I did a search on that and I got a website. HORAY !! there in the site was a link to a bible collegge, went there and found an e-mail link.
So I wrote an e-mail : To whom it concerns, this is what it said, I was told that there is a group or a society that approves all translations of the bible and if so could you please tell me who they are and how can I get a hold of them as there are many different translations of the bible and I want to know which one is correct.
The reply? Someone wrote me and said. There is no such group or society that does this that religions approve they're own translations and I must tell you that the NWT has been altered and modified badly. That bible is misleading in order to go along with the Jehovahs Witness doctrines. I strongly advise that you do not use this bible.
That was what this person said to me. I through my hands up and said I knew it in anger as the society my mom was talking about was the governing body but she didn't want to tell me that did she? NO
They are as deceiving as they're religion is. makes me sick to my stomach after reading that e-mail I went and tossed the NWT she had given me right in the garbony.....

I went back and read all of your post.
Let me tell you what happened and what and why I did not get baptized. I had been previously baptized in the Mormon church. while I was attending the borg meetings and going through the book studies and doing all the things that a good little borg dummy would do I seen some things and was told some things that I did not think was right. You see I am disabled and I was told by the elder who was studing with me. Well first he asked me what is one of the things that you want out of being a witness? I told him I wanted a wife as they do not believe in divorce as I had been married four times in the past all failed. He told me that I would not qualify as a proper husband in the truth because I did not make enough money from my disability to support a family. Talk about getting mad the friggin steam started boiling out of my head and I felt myself resorting back to old days when normally I would of just kicked his ass for that as I kicked some ass in my past for less. Anyway I had got a computer and got online, I asked God in prayer that if I was being deceived again as I had from the Mormon then I would be better off dead so I asked him to lead me in the right direction. The first thing I did when I got on line was did a search on JW`s and there history, WOW ! what I learned and thats how I got here....AMEN >>>Whew I was saved by the grace of God. But unlike most others here I still believe in my lOrd and Love him with all my heart and soul. I am angry at the borg but not my God, after all it was him that took me away from them....

Hey things are cool here with me and you don't sweat the small stuff and I also do enjoy your post too. I have to say that for many years I was a cold hearted bastard towards myself as well as towards others and it really took a lot of spiritual growing for me to change my life in a way that I feel is pleasing to God. It really hits me below the belt when someone trys to down me because I still believe even though I got away from the borg. Most people here I noticed have agreat deal of hatred towards God after leaving the borg and I don't understand why. I can understand being angry with the borg but not God. It was not his fault that we allowed ourselves to be deceived. I don`t like what pedophiles to to children at all heck I got 3 kids myself, they're grown now but still I would be very angry if someone did that to my kids. I would not wish they're death but would wish they had spent the rest of they're life in prison. As a Christian I cannot say or praise anyones death as it is not mine to take life away that is up to God. And anyone who says I would love to kill someone ? needs to have a little jail time themselves with a little anger management classes to go with it. Anyway I said what I said and I'm stick'in to it. You know what I would do ? Coming from experience. I used to be a scrapper and would toss a fist at the drop of a dime in my past but now I am older and wiser. The next time he gets in your face ? call the police, then with the police report you go file a restraining order, with the restraining order he will not be allowed to come within 300 yards of you and that includes at work since this is where it all continues to happen. I would use the fact that you do not feel safe at work with the guy around and the courts will basically fire him. It's the bigger man who walks away from a fight and its the man who walks away that wins the fight...
