Have you ever read the scripture that says "when a man kills an animal he restores another? but when he takes a mans life he gives his own for that life which he took. Stopping smoking - any suggestions?
by be wise inhi, i smoke, not loads, but i would like to stop.
i think i will find it really hard though and was wondering how you stopped if you were a previous smoker.
i also suffer from asthma which obviously doesn't make things any better.

Let me share some experience with you. I smoked for 32 years. I tried to quit using all the patch mthods and pills etc. They were only temporary aids. I now have not smoked for 10 months and how did I accomplish this ? COLD TURKEY !!! Thats the key....You just got to want to quit and you quit...Simple as that. Good Luck it will be the best thing you will ever do beside excepting Christ and his truth.

Whats the craziest thing you've done at the Kingdom hall?
by yxl1 ini was given the "privilege" to open the kh early to switch on the heating.
they even gave me my own set of keys.. every saturday night, me and another jw would drive to the kh with our amps and guitars and .
jam until the early morning, using the stage and the kh's pa system.

by KGB inthere has been some post made here to this discussion board that have been completely out of context to this discussion board, some of them had really irritated me to an extent that i said some pretty bad things to certain individuals.
it has weighed on my conscience for some time amd today especially.
i attend a baptist church and i am a man who has turned his life over to christ but found myself indulging in conversation that led me to act as if i were of the evil one.

Is it OK for men to cry?
by JH inis it wrong for a man to cry when he feels pain, either physical or emotional pain.
we all know that women cry when they become emotional, but for a man, is it appropriate or not appropriate to cry.
is it seen as weakness for a man to cry?

There is nothing wrong when a man cries, for it shows his humility. Being humble is a blessing. Now if your just a snibbler then I guess maybe there might be some emotional problems but to cry when your sad or happy, no nothing wrong with that at all. Besides they say its healthy to cry and those who don't also have emotional problems.
And a man who knows his inner self is a man who is in tune with himself.
And a man who can openly admit he can cry is a man who is honest, being prideful and thinking your a tough guy because you don`t cry ? is a man who needs help, serious help.

Gone Fishin

if anyone is going to be around bennett springs state park in missouri, that's where i will be found till tuesday...and this is my prey...come on down...i'm sure anyone of you would have no problems finding me...just look for the dreadlocked sassquatch w/the fly rod and wearing waders.. .
