Thanks for the reference. It was an interesting read. Strong emotions that shut down further inquiry seems to happen a lot in politics, as well.

Have a reference for that, Cofty? I would be interested. It's a great topic of discussion in itself.
Just having an academic discussion about something seems to feel like 'condoning' to some people.
I also think that if a topic violates someone's previous opinions or worldview it feels personally threatening.

Razziel, we posted at the same time. Please see my post regarding the false assumption that some have that we are saying that because someone was born with an attribute, it automatically means it is okay to act upon it. That is NOT being asserted.

I think there's an assumption by some that saying something is inborn automatically means that it's okay. This is not being said at all.
Here are some inborn tendencies. Is acting on them okay? Some yes, some no. It's the nature of acting on it that determines whether or not it is okay.
Lefthandedness, acting upon it is okay
Righthandedness, acting upon it is okay
Heterosexuality, okay
Homosexuality, okay
Pedophilia, not okay to act upon
Quick temper/ murderous rage, not okay to act upon
Psychopathy/ lack of empathy, not okay to hurt others
Why are people getting so upset about trying to discover the origins (and thus prognosis) of these conditions? It's the behavior that should be judged and understanding the origins can help find ways to prevent negative behaviors.

Terminology the Society Hates?
by toweragent inin my most recent talk, i got counseled for using some terms that were not prefered.
for example i said "new testament" rather than "the christian greek scriptures".
i also used the term "gospel", but even worse, i made reference to the "synoptic gospels" and the "gnostic gospel".. i guess i never thought of it before, but when i looked at the societies information on the matter they always say things like, "the so-called new testament..." or "the so-called synoptic gospels..." why with all the "so-called?".

Never say, "Bless you" when someone sneezes. Better to just awkwardly ignore it.

Build a Paradise Friend Workshop. Caleb chooses a panda, stuffs him to the correct fluffy size then adds aservice bag and dress shoes. Sophia stuffs that lion that she's been wanting. She adds the stuffing and a crown for the king of the jungle. He also gets dress shoes. Other friends available are tigers, kangaroos, miniature horses and lambs which have available service bags and dress shoes. Suits and ties as well as modest dresses are available for an additional small fee. They come with a babtismal certificate so they can start serving Jehovah immediately.

The Finished Mystery on Amazon Kindle for 99 cents
by airborne ini learned yesterday that the finished mystery (studies in the scriptures vii) by charles taze russell and published posthumously in 1918 is now available on amazon kindle for 99 cents.
this is the quality spiritual food that the governing body claims is the basis for jesus appointing it as the faithful and discreet slave in 1919 according to peter gregerson in his talk on youtube.. from what i understand there are some really fantastical claims and ideas in it.
there is no way they are appointed by god if this is the basis for the appointment.

Does this mean that WT gets a portion of that 99 cents?

AD to designate years. They prefer CE, common era. I guess Anno Domini sounds too Catholic.

I tend to agree that it's related to the stress of your new realization. If your mood is on the depressed side, you could be suffering some nonrestorative sleep issues. When you are depressed, your sleep patterns are off and you tend to feel fatigue.
Take care of yourself in general. Eat well, maybe take a vitamin and try to get some exercise every day. Also, work through the shock of learning TTATT. I'm willing to bet that this problem will subside when you get over the emotional shock and your personal life is back into some semblance of a (new) routine. If it lasts longer than a month or two, consider going to the doctor and getting screened for depression.
Until then, the advice given is good. Avoid computer screens before bed, get exercise, shut the bedroom door to avoid interruptions, keep the room very dark and run a fan for white noise. Benadryl is an effective medication if you really need help sleeping.
I really believe this is about your psychological and emotional needs right now during your transition. The body responds to the mind. And, it's okay to get a little extra shut eye right now. We process things during sleep. You're just mentally overloaded right now.

No, dude, calling someone 'immoral' is passing judgement. Why aren't you cool with that? Isn't that what christians are supposed to do?
