my wife and i planned on fading but the elders now want a shepherding call and we are just done.
i know that many play the game to try to stay in, but i'm not a game player and neither is my wife.
our families already shun us because we reached out to a disfellowshipped family member.

And what exactly does the WTBTS do to financially help the flock they are supposedly in charge of? How many schools, hospitals, retirement homes, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, free clinics, etc do they operate? ZERO. So where exactly is all of that money going, if not to help the very ones who are giving freely and/or whom are in need?

Growing up in the 1980's, the older JW's and even my parents, could argue and reason a good bit at the doors or anywhere else for that matter about religion, doctrine, etc. We had to be able to, because how else could you prop up the 1914 date, Generation that won't pass away, etc? Now what do today's JW's have? Nothing. Just stand next to a cart, turn on the iPad and show a video and go, "Duuuuuh....uhhh....if you'd like answers to your questions, please attend the Sunday Meeting at da KingDumb Hall. Have a nice day!" Then mark your time down as a return visit.
I myself believe that the "dumbing down" of the current "Generation" of JW's is complete. GB at HQ have complete control of the rank and file, and all dissension (AKA, brazen conduct or questions) are handled with a swift JC and DF'ing. Only the hardcore zealot idiots are left. this australian investigation is astounding to watch.. the elders clearly don't see child abuse as criminal, if a jw confessed to murder, the police would immediately be called.

i am hoping someone may be able to give me some guidance on behalf of my son.
my ex-wife, who remains a jw, is threatening to go to court to get visitation with our 5 year old grandchild.
she had regular visits with our grandchild, but when my son (no longer a jw) and his wife (never a jw) found out that his mother was teaching their daughter the jw religion without their permission and even telling our grandchild not to tell their parents... well to say the least, that was a game-changer.
I just bet your son and D-I-L absolutely LOVE your ex-wife, huh?
Unsupervised visits with my (non-JW) in-laws ended when they were caught taking our 6-yr old son on day-trips etc with the granddaughter who yelled at him in a restaurant and then cyberbullied him online and was caught. We had forbid the girl from being around our son again, but apparently the Mother-in-law didn't think she had to abide by our rules. She was wrong. She sees our son about once every 5 months supervised by my wife. NEVER alone anymore. She's not happy from what I hear. (I haven't seen my in-laws in years cause they are assholes) I hear she's depressed because our family are like strangers to them. Oh well....with treatment like what they were dishing out, who needs them? Not us.
i just heard this a few minutes ago by a jw friend who is still an elder in my old hall.
the kingdom hall i used to attend and my mom still attends was paid off many years ago and serves about 6 congregations.
one of the english congregations has a lot of financially well of members.
Yeah, just imagine......you are an Elder going thru this. You come home, and relate to your wife how the WT Org and C.O. have just demanded that the BOE send in another $70K of the Congregations money from a PRIVATE savings account, that had nothing to do officially with the WT Org. Instead of your wife being flabbergasted, and on your side, she instead looks at you sheepishly and goes, "Yes dear, you are to do whatever the Society instructs you to do...." - or some such bullsh*t. Then, if you push the subject, your wife threatens to leave and divorce you on grounds of you being a spiritual danger!!!! So basically, your wife isn't your wife, she's the WT Org's wife. The Org comes 1st, and you are a distant 2nd at best. I bet those poor Elders are ready to either 1.) shoot themselves or 2.) shoot the C.O. for causing such "divisions".
This is an incredible account. Do we know where and which Congregation this is? It's just an amazing money grab of enormous proportions. What a fleecing of the flock.
