  many years ago we would be on someone's doorstep, when waiting for the house holder to come to the door we say something like ... yea after the big a this is going to be my house.

  imagine saying that today with the common use of doorbell cameras and the squatting problem .

  I'm 44. The last time I went in "Field Service" I was in 8th grade, 1993. However, even back further in the mid-80's I realized what for an utter waste of time this was. Seriously! Even on the weekends, people with children were active and away at sports practices, trips, etc. "Not at homes" were oh so common, and I'm talking about a semi-rural area. As a child I couldn't figure out why the JW's didn't use the media at the time (newspapers, magazines, TV, Cable networks) to Advertise! Advertise! Advertise! God and His Kingdom, as we were soooooo far into the time of the end. (Now I know: It's cult busy-work for the enslaved members)
  

  By the way, that slogan above, should have clued my naive parents into how much of a Publishing Company/Cult this is instead of a legitimate religion. Imagine, calling members/parishoners "Publishers." It reeks of corporate BS!

  Just like the "Young People Ask" series of books, these videos are written and produced by a bunch of sexless old geezers with zero life experience or clue as to the reality of "yung wanzzzzz" today. It would almost be laughable, if it weren't so totally cringe inducing and embarrassing. And WT HQ wonders why the youth are leaving in DROVES????? Hahahahahahahahaha! Big mystery!   Could you imagine his comedy routine, if only he used the phrase, "Mastery of my Penis?"

  He fashions himself as another Kurt Metzger (an ex-JW and actual funny comedian who does mention his weird JW upbringing in his comedy routine) but instead, comes off more like a more cringe Andy Kauffman. (who only cared if HE got the joke and no one else, a legend in his own mind type).

  Assembly with the branch representative

  we had the meeting with the branch representative this weekend.. the air was different than usual.. bearded ushers at the parking lots welcomed the brothers warmly.. lots of sisters with dress pants or not, nothing scandalous.. the representative of the italian branch made his debut on stage with his full beard.. location: roseto degli abruzzi (italy-europe).

  some interesting statistical data can give a little food for thought after the numerous changes that have occurred in recent months (the ten-year or five-year plan, if you prefer, seems to be producing some small results).. attendance has increased since the last meeting.. our constituency includes 1725 publishers and those present in the morning were 1553, a little better than the november 2023 convention.

  perhaps the new changes have brought some back to attendance?.

  i was baptised a long time ago but left soon after (da).. i recently returned and have a bible study.

  4. Learn to use the word "No." Repeat as necessary, and do NOT offer any explanations. You don't owe them any, no matter how large their sense of entitlement and imaginary authority is.

  Q: "Want to study this Tuesday night?" A: "No."

  Q: "Want a ride the Sunday Meeting?" A: "No."

  Repeat in the mirror until you've got it down. Turn and walk away if in person. If on the phone or email, state "No", then deflect away to another topic or ask them a question about something else to throw them off.

  5. DA'ing is playing by this dumbass cult's rules. No need for that. Fading is the safest, most effective way to cut ties with cults.

  RE: The Disfellowshipping section:

  Apparently, the recent changes happened so fast (due to Japan and Norway decisions) that they weren't yet incorporated into this release. Hence, the changes in the GB Update will be covered thru the already released Elder's Correspondence and then at upcoming annual Elder's Meeting / Training session, wherein they'll be directed to write things in the margins.

  So this tells you just how sudden this "90-day DF'ing, then repentance and let back in" change was.

  "Directed by Holy Spirit", my ass!

  WT HQ is 100% re-active at this point. They were never pro-active, but before they had things in que they were going to do slowly over time. (frog in water, anyone?) Now, their backs are against the wall, and it's severely affecting membership and lastly, but most importantly - MONEY!!!

  A. This subject has been done to death over many years and many YT channels.

  B. This is a multi-part series? He really is still like JW's with their multi-part "Symposiums" at Assemblies.
