All of the illegals that are on the streets protesting should be rounded up immediately by local law enforcement and/or The National Gaurd, and deported IMMEDIATELY. They don't have a right to protest, they are illegals mooching off of the law-abiding, tax-paying Citizens of the USA.

Don't want to go through the proper channels to become a US Citizen? Get the f*ck out, we don't want you here using up our resources that are intended for REAL citizens. Take your "culture" with you as well, that belongs in your "homeland" of Mexico, or wherever you came from. Become a US Citizen and leave all the rest behind.

Obama is a turd, and the only reason he is slacking on immigrant reform is because he knows he's going to need the "legal" Latino vote come 2012. He won't get it if he's hard on illegal immigration.

Think illegal immigration is harmless? Just look at California. The illegals have bankrupted and brought that state to it's knees, and it's all because you have the highest rate of illegals in the nation riding upon the backs of the legal citizens who pay taxes - there is not enough to go around. When they decided a few short years ago to issue driver's licenses to illegals, I knew it was going to be all downhill for them, and I was right. They are trying to prop up an illegal immigrant population with all of the state's "entitlement programs" like free health care for kids, more kids in schools, etc, etc.

Someone had actually posted full photos of the pages of this WatchTower, but I can't find them. Somehow, they are more striking seeing them in their original content. Like I said, there were about 3 magazines in 1984 dealing with these issues to really drive home the points.

These old articles CAN NOT be denied, no matter how much they'd like to gloss over what they said with "New Light" and new definitions. On this one point alone, they have shown that they don't know what the hell they are doing, that they are not being directed by Holy Spirit (or even inspired) and are just pulling shit out of their asses to keep things going.

I mean, they have got to be one of the biggest false prophets EVER, second only to Mormons in my book. The only reason JW's are allowed to drink coffee is to keep them awake! at meetings and out in service, or else the pharisitical rule about caffeine would be in full effect just like in the Mormons.

Actually, it's about 3 issues right in a row that dealt with 1914, Prophecy, and The Generation.

My parents came in right after 1975. Both had been exposed to witness beliefs throughout their lives via door-to-door work, and their parents would sometimes take some literature. They didn't know much about 1975 though.

Here's the cover, wonder how many in this photo are even still alive? I'd bet ZERO.

I'm not sure how old you are, but I feel exactly the same way. I am 30. I have said several times on this forum that the 1984 WatchTower Bound Volume is pure GOLD when showing current JW's how completely wrong they are, and also PROVES without a doubt how they pushed 1914, The Generation That Would Not Die, and other "any day now" crap down our throats as gospel!!!!

And you are 100% correct, this was taught at the door as the "Truth", and anyone not accepting of the explanations given for the "Timeline" was considered a goat, unresponsive to the message, and would certainly die during the Great Tribulation and/or Armaggedon. It was 100%, complete certain. I mean, it was proof of how "close", "any day now" we were to "The End of this System of Things."

Of ALL of things that got my young mind of 5 wondering, it was the date 1914. When I asked my father about how they came up with it, he spoke about how Russell measured lenghs of the pyramids of Giza and did certain calculations. My parents studied with MUCH older people in the 1970's, and I'm also certain now that's how he came up with that. I didn't know what "Pyramidology and Occult" practices were at that young age, but even at 5 this really rang a bell as strange since I knew YHWH didn't mention anything about the Great Pyramids in the Bible. It wasn't until I was 19 and at work one day with the internet and bored that I decided to type in 1914 into the Yahoo! search engine. Oh my, what doors lay ahead of me to explore!!!!

1914 for anyone coming in or born before 1995 has really got to be a sticking point, and even more so if they lived through the great preaching push of the 1980's. Today, the "Generation of 1914" is as unknown to new JW's as 1975 was to me. My father knew of 1975, but went along with their half-assed cover-up. He was completely fooled, or maybe just didn't want to admit he had been had? Who knows.

I agree.....1914 is just huge for me. It was laid out as PROOF....not even really some lame doctrine, but PROOF that they, and they ALONE had the Truth because it proved The End Times.

Go back and look at that 1984 WatchTower Bound Volume, specifically May 15, 1984 edition. It will blow your mind. It is one of a very few of the Bound Volumes I kept as proof. I'm waiting for my knock at the door so I can show it to them and ask them if this is still "The Truth."

I feel so cheated, you can't even believe. Well, maybe you do.

Since Leaving "The Truth" Are You Really Happier?

witnesses say that when people leave "the truth", they get involved in a debauched life, misery, and general unhappiness.. they give experiences of some that left the "sweet fellowship" of the "brotherhood" and the awful results because of it.

then, they come back and their lives change 100% for the better!.

You know, this is a good question little red spot. Looking back on my life as a JW (birth to about age 22) I can clearly see that the happiest times with my late family weren't when we were active JW's, it was when we were INACTIVE JW's. This really says something, doesn't it?

As I now know, my family when through up and down periods of activity vs. non-activity. My parents would be zealous and fanatical, then get tired of the hypocritical shit and being told endlessly that they'd never be good enough and quit for many months, even years. Oh they still believed, read the literature, etc they just didn't go for periods. Then all of a sudden something would scare them back into going. It was a viscious cycle.

My only wish is that my father would have lived long enough to see the Org for what it truly was, a publishing company bent on making money off his free labor and time. They don't care one bit about the average person/publisher/drone. You are just a number, and when you die they want your estate. Pathetic and it must make Jesus weep, literally.

I have never stopped believing in YHWH and His Son, Jesus - period. I have not "left" them and I don't think either of them has "cast me off into a spiritual abyss" either. That is just guilt-inducing mind control drivel.

When God's great day comes, this "Organization" trying to prop itself up as a religion is going to have a helluva lot to answer for, and the old "well we did the best we could with what we had" isn't going to cut it. Other denominations of Christianity have the Bible, but that was not good enough, the JW's had to make shit up just like the Mormons.

I am happy to be free from the chains of their oppression. I relate it to how it must have felt to have been a Jew under the Pharisees and then Jesus came along and lifted the burdens from the shoulders and unshackled their faith.

Truly, the "Truth shall set you free."

This reminds me of growing up in the 1980's. You were "spiritually weak" if you had cable TV, so all growing up we only had the local channels (all 5 of them) that only the TV antanna would pick up. Then, one night during the TMS in 1999, we were asked to vote on raising the CO's allowance which included more money for his RISING CABLE COSTS. (He lived in an apartment in our KH's basement). My mother's jaw literally hung open! After that night, my mother ordered cable, and to hell with what those pharasitical bastards thought!!!

The same is true today. They'll preach one thing, and yet do another. The secret is to keep your mouth shut and utilize ALL of the privacy settings which Facebook has open to you.

I mean really, this is 2010, who REALLY thinks that the internet and Facebook/networking sites are from the DEVIL? Oh that's right.....the isolated old foogies up in Brooklyn and Patterson, I forgot.

They'd better get cranking on that compound up in New York and damn quick. They can't seem to isolate themselves quick enough.

He has a family, a computer, and works at Wal*Mart. He has some videos up on WT related doctrine, etc.......all of which lack real evidence, and he uses circular logic. Oh, and they all have Kingdom Hall piano music playing in the background which just makes me want to tear my eyeballs out.

Some of the videos of his family are weird, then again, what JW family is "normal"? I particularily like the one where there is a woman sitting at a table and there is an ashtry and someone is smoking. Whooops! Hope the Elders don't see that video!! Speaking of which, why the hell is this loser even on Youtube? The few with his kids are disturbing, especially where the little boy is dressed up like some mini adult and pretending to be a weatherman. Why? Pioneering is to be the goal, right?

Now, I'm not bible-thumping Baptist, but even I can see what is plainly missing in this entire program - JESUS! Look over the outline. He is not mentioned even ONCE!!! Is that insane, or what? I see alot about drawing close to Jehovah, Jehovah's requirements, imitating those serving Jehovah......Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah. That's nice, but didn't Jesus say to follow HIM? To imitate Him? To come to HIM? Is His name not above all others? Isn't to know Him (Jesus) to know the father?

Where are ANY talks dealing with Jesus, his apostles and/or disciples? How about some talks dealing with helping your fellow man, widows, orphans? Oh no.....none of that, just get off your bums and peddle more literature!!

I bet half the talks about qualities and following deal with the Faithful & Discreet Slave in some way shape or form.

Wow.....just wow! Calling themselves "Christians" is merely a formality and for show.
