the do asked him "how many refrigiators do you have?
the brother told him "i have 3 refrigiators full".
So do you think the old timer was an apostate? I mean really, who would actually admit to having 3 refrigerators full of doubt????????? I can't believe that they'd actually let that experience on stage because it is so ironic!!

i want to know.. does every kingdom hall, bethel and assembly hall belong to the watchtower, bible & tract society?.
each of those kingdom halls, bethels etc are built with the money obtained by that country's contributions.
if a loan is needed the bothers of that specific congregation pay off the loan.. the society has then an extremely huge amount of property worth billions of $$$$ who has control of all those funds?
Upon entering my first Lutheran Church several years ago, I was astonished to not only recieve a printed pamphlet with that day's songs, lessons, prayers, blessings, etc printed on it, but ALSO a full financial statement which showed all donations taken in for the last week, month, year, etc. It also had a detailed account of how much was given to the poor, families, elderly, and childrens programs, adult programs, and missionary work. Everything was transparent. What a contrast to the JW mentality! It was easy to recognize they were doing God's work....not by paying lip service knocking on doors of empty houses, but actually doing something to help ones in need. What a contrast. I was a born-in JW, so I am just completely blown away every time I visit there. Once you are out and get some experience and then turn and look inside the JW box from outside, you are repulsed at how they act and the things that they do.

our friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
OMG......I can barely breathe. I hadn't checked JWN for 4 days, and to come back and see this my heart just breaks in two.
I can't believe a JC would do such a thing as DF someone for recieving a blood transfusion while they were unconcious!

i work at a major airline in the in-flight training department.
i was sitting at the desk on the computer, i kid you not... writing the security (hijacking) curriculum for 2002, when someone came in and told me a plane flew into the wtc.
we all thought it was one of our planes.
I am not lying when I say this, but even though I thought about Armaggedon, I did not FEEL as though this was the beginning. I looked at it more as my generations Pearl Harbor. The reason? I didn't think there were enough signs of being in the Great Tribulation beforehand, and also no one had turned on religion yet. I did however think that maybe this could be the start of the Great Tribulation, because if anything was going to piss people off enough to actually turn on a nutty, bloodthirsty religion like Islam, this event would surely be it. But of course it WASN'T, and we are all still here 11 years later. The only differance is that I'm not 11 years older. Sh*t.

So now merely being close and getting photo with a friend equates you to being "worldly" and hyper-sexual? These bozos are whacked in the head!! The level of pharasitical intrusion into every small detail in the everyday lives of the rank and file is just incredible sight to see. I thought it was tough growing up back in the 80's? Look at this sh*t?
What normal, sane, outgoing person would be attracted to this fruitcake religion today? Not me, and I'm sure not even my deceased parents would recognize this religion anymore. when my children were young my ex and i looked forward to going to the fall fair.
we chose a rural fair as it was more interesting.
there were cattle shows, a chicken barn with all breeds of chickens, and of course all the displays of fruits and vegetables.
May I suggest the Elder, and anyone else not liking fairs, festivals, or similar READ THE BIBLE?

I'm not trying to sound supportive of the WT or GB in the least, but what exactly is wrong with this analogy? It DOES give you a sense of how long eternity would be, and it WOULD only just be the beginning. Sure, I'll agree that it's "simple" but let us all remember the audience with which he is speaking to? It's not exactly made up of Carl Sagan's, ya know?
The part that really gets me, is how is makes sure to dig the dagger in and twist it about how "some of us" will be spending it with Jehovah, while the rest of the pee-ons have to endure eternity on Paradise Earth!!! Never mind that the Universe is filled with possibly "billions upon billions" of galaxies with billions and billions of planets to explore.....Nope!! Mankind is to be stuck on this spec for eternity. How easily they forget that "New Scrolls" are to be opened at some point, and there are endless possibilites to be had.
In short, this guy sounds very effiminate (isn't that a no-no in JW Land?) and is quite frankly simple-minded, or possibly just likes "talking down" to the rank and file. Hey, how much gold jewelry was this self-righteous posuer wearing that day?
