How far off can Tithing be really? Not very far at all. Know what is really f*cked up when you think about it? All REAL Christian religions (and hell, even some other cults) actually GIVE BACK to their flocks, and in particular their next generation members - the children. What do the Governing Body of JW's give back to their congregation's children? These dumbass cartoons which actually have the audacity to guilt them into feeling bad about even day-dreaming about having an ice cream cone on a hot summer day, instead of giving every last dime to help construct more property and to the cult recruiting activities. Incredible!!

This cult is all take an ZERO give. It's how it was when I was growing up, and it's how it is now. It's just that now, it is more in your face and jaw-dropping in it's delivery. The manipulation, the guilt, the in-your-face entitlement attitude that these crooks have is just an incredible sight to behold. This sh*t has just GOT to be waking some people up. Just has to.

The WT entitles this one, "Give us your money! ALL of it! We need ALL of it! Even your children are to be shaken down!" - No, not really, but it might as well be called this. I have never seen such a blatant, shameless, shake-down for money in my life. If my parents weren't spinning in their graves before, they surely are now. The desperation is now palpable. Well, the Israelite God of War, YHWH, didn't have any feels about killing off ALL of the first born of Egypt just to prove a point to Pharaoh about who was really in charge. Children, infants, etc that had absolutely nothing to do with Pharaoh as a man or his decisions. According to Old Testament judgment, children are held responsible for the actions and decisions of their parents. Guilty by association. That's why today, "association" with the Governing Body is essential to be covered under Jesus' ransom sacrifice. The completely ignores the bible where it speaks about Jesus coming for ALL mankind and Him being the mediator for everyone, and about MERCY....but hey, when you're a full-blown JW you don't worry about minor details like that. Anyway, if YHWH didn't give a crap about all of those pagan pyramid worshipping babies, what makes you think he's going to give a crap about a few billion Muslims, Hindu's, etc children? He doesn't. This is all per JW convoluted barbaric reasoning.

"Now begins a short time of calm during the Great Tribulation. This period may last weeks, months, or perhaps even 4 years. Jehovah's Witnesses begin preaching the "Judgment Message" instead of the "Kingdom Good News."

Wow! Here is a blast from the past. Growing up in the early 1980's, this was something that I had heard frequently, but then it kind of disappeared. That being, that at some point the regular preaching message would cease, and a message of "Judgment" would commence, and that it would be "too late" for people to come into the Truth at that point, because the symbolic Ark was closed, and their judgment was imminent. Kind of an old, "We told you so!" - in your face, kind of message. Loving, aye? Nice to see I wasn't crazy remembering this. BUT, there is now a spin to this! A clarification, "New Light!!!!" Now, people WILL have a chance to repent and become a sheep!!! This really begs the question: Why even bother to preach now at all and waste your time, when at some point in the future people can just repent and convert and all is forgiven??????? Live your life how you see fit, then when you hear the final JW warning, repent, convert over, and be saved??? Seems like everything before that final message is a big huge hassle and waste of time, especially with actual signs in the heavens signaling the End about to happen?

he was offended because she continues to invite him to the memorial even though he has ptsd from his jw experiences growing up.

You have a right to your thoughts, feelings, and opinions. Apologize for NOTHING. They are the ones in a highly-controlling CULT, not you, hence you are not under their control. That's what's REALLY bothering your sister, that you don't recognize her imaginary perceived piousness out over her.

i had a sudden realization the other day, one that took me many years to make but that should have been fairly obvious in hindsight.

let me explain.. my parents are immigrants.

Ha! Little did she know, those pious "little angels" were actually the devil in disguise, and often times much worse than any worldly kids in the neighbourhood or school. That was my experience growing up in the two-faced double-life JW life. My parents would ask me as a teen why I preferred friends at school and didn't hang with any kids at the Kingdom Hall. I'd flat out tell them that the kids at the hall were totally fake backstabbing poseurs that no one else could stand, and my school friends were the honest and good ones. My parents could never wrap their heads around that. The kids at the hall were total manipulative narcissists, who usually got away with murder since Daddy was an Elder, or mommy was a high-ranking Pioneer Bitch. Nope, little Johnny and Susie were as sweet as pie at the Kingdom Hall, and total heathens outside of it.

New video telling the R&F to be generous

bro sanderson has a 7 minute video up on their streaming website called "be willing to open your hand".. in it he tells us not to be "tight fisted" or "stingy" and later "regardless of how much we have or how little we have, we'll find something within our power to be able to do".

we have the responsibility to imitate jehovah's generosity.. there's a bit about giving to one another when we see the need, which is nice, then he drops in how 20 years ago the canada branch committee asked the bethel family for donations to the disaster relief fund, and promptly raised over $10,000.

i think that's pretty good going for those under a vow of poverty.. "the generous person will prosper" he says, then illustrates this using a made up story.

I've been saying it for a long time now: Money only flows one way in the WT Organization; from the rank and file's wallets to the WT's bank accounts. When the congregation needs something or YOU as an individual needs something, it's "wait on Jehovah. Jehovah provides. Keep your eye simple." When the Org needs something, it's "We need YOUR money. Don't be stingy, be generous, be like Jehovah, etc, etc."

The money grab is really taking on a life of it's own and becoming more and more obvious as they lay on the guilt trips.

Side ads are hijacking this site!

For about a week now, I've noticed that whatever ads you are allowing on this site are basically "hijacking" any attempt to read threads. How? Well, the side "ad" thing plays video advertisements, but that's not the problem. When they start, they automatically force the thread I attempt to read up to the top, and keep it there. I cannot scroll or do anything else. I am using FireFox by the way. This is making using or reading anything on this forum unbearable. Like I said, it is totally hijacking my attempt at reading or posting on threads. And it doesn't stop with just (1). It keeps going and going. I have an ad "pop-up" blocker turned on, but it does no good. I can't pause the video ads either. What can you do about this? I've never experienced anything like this on a website. I can't be the only one experiencing this as well. HELP!!!
