Your wife can be "appalled" all she wants. Remember, according to the Bible (you know, the book they like to attempt to beat you over the head with?) YOU are the "head of the household." Hence, YOU'LL be making that call, and if your wife doesn't like it, I'd remind her who pays the bills and who's in charge, per WT official doctrine? Use, and turn that crap right back on them. You DO NOT have to let these intrusive assholes on to, or in to, your property at all.

Elder wants to stop by with the CO for a visit .
by NikL inso i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.
he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".
he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.

Just say "No. We are fine. We'll let you know if we need anything. Thanks."
You don't owe these clowns anything, nothing, ZERO. They are basically inviting themselves to your home? They need to get some manners, and get a clue! You don't have to "allow" jack squat! Do they pay your bills, your mortgage? No? Then you don't owe them your time if you don't want.
Make like Nancy Reagan, and just say "No".

Lunch today with.. JW step father....
by raven init has been a while since i've posted, i think its because i have finally gotten some peace and quiet as far as harassment from the jw elders.. my step father, the one who reported me to the elder police for a sinful act invited me to lunch today.. it has been almost a year since the incident, we have talked here and there, it has been just casual though.
he says he is in town for work and asked if i would like to meet up for lunch, i couldn't think of any excuses so i agreed.. i hope it goes well, hope that we don't go into the jw nonsense.
hope he doesn't bring elders with him, am i paranoid or what?

Are you freakin' serious? This guy TURNED YOU IN TO THE ELDERS, like a snitch going to the Gestapo, and you are going to have lunch with him? WHY? In the future, I'd just say, "No!!!" Who needs a JW snitch in their lives, to create more drama and subject you to emotional and spiritual abuse, all the while snooping in your personal life? Fugg that!! I'd have been done with him after the betrayal, because that's exactly what he did to you, betrayed you for his CULT. Un-be-lievable.

This is because this cult produces children who are dependents, non-thinking, non-productive, anti-social, introverted, socially retarded, sexually repressed, DEPENDENTS. Pod people. That's what you have up at WT HQ, and that's what they produce in the congregations as well.
If you are an independent, critical thinking, educated, productive, social, extroverted, social butterfly, able to support yourself with a job, hobbies, interests, and some sort of social life, you are NOT JW material. Nope! That type of person is "frowned upon." You are supposed to stay at home away from "worldly people", "worldly influence and pursuits", etc with mommy and daddy until the Great Tribulation and Big A arrive. Then all of your problems will be solved. Prey, study, attend all the meetings, be more regular in the field ministry, and above all - DONATE - and that is the end-all, be-all existence of these indoctrinated SLUGS. Sums up JW's existence of misery pretty well, if you ask me?

Sounds to me like you're sick of their emotional and spiritual abuse? Not even contacting you to notify you of your father's accident, or mother's declining health? That's fugged up! Those situations more than constitute "necessary family business", even by JW standards. These smug, self-righteous assholes really take things too far.
I feel for you man, I really do! You care enough to check in on your aging parents, and THAT is the reception you get? No wonder you don't want to see them again; why would you go back for more of the same?
Let the dead bury the dead. They are enjoying their reward in full, now.

Man, whoever gets to be a "Missionary" in the Canary Islands, is freakin' lucky! That's practically paradise already, 2nd only to Hawaii. A former JWD regular member lives there. The photos they share with me are beautiful, and their lives have gotten so much better since moving there. They had to learn Spanish, but other than that their lives are fantastic. -

Australian Jehovah's Witnesses are ignorant of the Australian Royal Commission
by stuckinarut2 inmany here have asked how the average witness in australia is taking the news of the arc findings and conclusions.. is it affecting them?.
sorry to say, hardly any are even aware of the facts.
those that are, have been convinced that all the publicity is "apostate lies and satanic propaganda".

OMG, that pic of the newspaper at that location is EPIC !!!!!!!! Share that on the ex-JW Reddit forum and everywhere else! Awesome! Awesome too, is the large, in-your-face BOLD print of that large headline! I bet JW's across Sydney are gasping in horror at such a sight. Only the most deluded and dumbest would be able to skip past it without reading it! Wow!!!!!

So Nathan wants to put the blame back upon the WT's victims. Sound familiar? So you sent them $1000.00, did you? You Sir, are a sucker!
I'm calling it: WT Org has gotten to these people and are paying them off to keep the book UN-published. When you take away all other possibilities, whatever is left must be the answer. No reason for it to have gone on so long. It's total BS. Let the flood of PDF's infiltrate down thru the internet forums. I don't give a flying fart.

The level of denial the JW's live in can only be compared to that of Scientologists and Mormons. Total denial, head in sand, claims of "grandiose Apostate lies."
These people are whacked in the head.

Hello! I really feel for you and your sibling. I was in a similar position 10 years ago. My mother also required a liver transplant, due to complications from Alpha-1. I, as her son, went thru the screening process to be a "live partial liver donor." I was a match, but unfortunately my liver had some fatty deposits, and I was disqualified. She was put onto the list, in the one territory of Virginia. In America, we have University Hospitals that specialize in bloodless surgery. University of Pittsburgh is one, University of Virginia (Charlottesville) is another. My mother received her much needed liver transplant from a deceased organ donor whom died in a car crash. However, even though she was in relatively good health, the liver never really functioned properly, and after 3 months of complications she passed away, never having left the UVa hospital. So trust me when I tell you: I've been there. Now let me tell you something else that the UVa doctors and nurses told me, my mother, etc in private. She was an RN as well, but also a recently "awake" JW. Anyway, the specialists told us down in Virginia that yes, they do the transplant as "bloodless" as is humanly possible, but that it's nearly impossible to get all the blood out. (like a steak, really) Also, they told us something else that was absolutely shocking; that 90% of JW's that came to UVa for the so-called "bloodless" transplant, had their blood previously stored to be used in the procedure, and that also they accepted other blood when needed from the blood supply. Let that sink in: 90% of JW's accepted blood when their lives were on the line. Guess what? When my mother need packed plasma, etc....she GOT IT. The symbol of life was not meant to be more important than the very life itself. I don't regret signing off on it one bit. Neither did she, as an RN or as a kinda-still believing JW. She wasn't going to risk her life for an ever-changing policy on blood. Remember, fractions had been banned at one, and in the 1970's, organ transplants were considered "cannibalism" and a DF'ing offense! Imagine how many people died from that asinine policy, needlessly! If you want to talk more with me, you may PM me. I hope things work out better for your sibling.
