JE-sus making a comeback at the 2024 Convention

attended the friday sesson of the 2024 summer convention.. july 5, 2024 summer convention crowd photo; they invited quite a lot of empty chairs.. .

the facility usually has 5500-6500. they spun it saying that fewer congregations were assigned.

there were 6 of the smaller, more distant sections blocked off with tarps to lessen cleaning, which i understand.

These types of Convention updates have been popping up over on Reddit alot as well.

It's so "Happifying" to see the sparse attendance!

Most CONventions have now been removed from the larger rented venues, to localized ASSembly Halls, such as the Grantville, PA ASSembly Hall. This progression has actually been coming for a while.

It's like this:

Summer District CONventions used to be held at the old hot-ass Veteran's Stadium in FilthyDelphia, for decades! Filled the entire place. (it was literal torture)

The "Vet" was torn down, and they moved these to the smaller Santader Arena in Reading. (much smaller, but at least now indoors with A/C). This lasted a while.

Several years ago, Martin Haugh and others started protesting the CSA cases, etc in front of the Arena, and it made many local news and newspapers. Attendance dropped some more. (COVID helped as we all know)

Now, they did away with Santander Arena, and send everyone to Grantville ASSembly Hall. (built in 1972) I'm sure Ruhlman made $$$ off that somehow. Also, big thanks to Paul Oxenreider for not messing up the HVAC ductwork. RIP, ya old tin-knocker!

They re-arranged Congregations in an attempt to fill up Grantville, but even THAT is not working! Place is half empty. Long ago, Grantville had a great kitchen and dining hall. Long gone. THOSE were the days! (except for that dreaded orange carpeting thoughout) It's less and less attendance.

So when you look at this way, you can really see the hemorrhaging that is taking place. The "yang wanzzz" are leaving in droves, and middle-aged ones with any brain cells at all are voting with their feet, and with their wallets. C-ya, dumbasses!

Holding a grudge

i read something recently on reddit (not sure what thread) where a person related how some jw told them that ‘they hold a grudge’.. this reminded me of something an old jw acquaintance said to me some years back when i related my bad experience in the religion.. so, apparently, jehovah’s witnesses feel they should be forgiven for anything.

people should forget all about it and act like nothing happened and be charitable towards them, etc… when i read in james and ephesians i got the sense ‘holding a grudge’ was referring to the things average people do to offend each other.. i don’t see it applying to a religion that claimed to speak for god and who engendered hateful and unchristian attitudes towards people.. i know because i experienced this.. in addition, some people’s lives were damaged by listening to faulty teachings and interference in things that were clearly none of anybody’s business.. one case in point: them knocking worldly careers and now there are thousands of destitute jws in senior years with nothing.. then in 2023 the religion does away with a century old teaching about counting hours in the ministry.

meanwhile, i got judged over this.

Very good post. I'm 44, born and raised in this. My parents were suckered into this finally in the mid-to-late 70's. My mother already had her career in full swing. (RN, was looked down upon always as a Professional by the jealous bee-ouches and also men in the Congregations - AKA, she had brain, but was also meek)

I have a LOT of resentment for this cult essentially ruining the first half of my life. All of my JW family passed away years ago. However, my mother actually woke up around the same time I did. (late 90's, early 2000's). So, I got to vent about things to her and tell her how bad I had it growing up. She actually apologized to me several times because of it. We got past it together in a sense.

The grudge I have is against this evil CULT. A money-grubbing one at that, that does absolutely ZERO to help its membership out in any way, shape, or form. Even the Mormon Cult has all kinds of programs and aide to give back to it's membership. JW's are all take and zero charity. It is very striking once you realize. Their un-apologetic gal (as in Jeffery Winder's no apologies necessary in a recent video) really are a slap across the face to any JW who's been in long enough to see these changes come about. It's a giant "STFU, and get back to work, you good for nothing slaves!" attitude. Real Christ-Like attitude from the "Fine Shepherds", aye?

Fuck these evil clowns. (I'm looking at you Lett!) They are quite frankly, the very definition given of the "Evil Slave Class" as described in the Bible. They show zero "Fruitages of the Spirit", and just as Deuteronomy states, I "have no fear of them." They're exactly where they belong; my rearview mirror!

As an aside: I know there was some speculative posts from a guy claiming that WT HQ had hired some outside consulting firm, and that they had a "10 Year Plan" that they were going to start implementing.

Honestly, with all of these changes........that scenario no longer sounds to far-fetched, especially with the recent summer Convention venue photos being leaked out. The places are nearly empty!

I've heard reports from Accounting Depts (that collect that money and tally it) that not only attendance, but donations are down a staggering 30% or more! That is a HUGE hit in the pocketbook for WT HQ. This, even though they've deleted a lot of sacred rented venues, and gone to using existing Assembly Halls. Case in Point: Reading, PA. Eliminated! Now send those people to the old Grantville Assembly Hall, which of course is long since paid off. (built in 1972 as a recall) Of course, I'm sure the negative press from the ex-JW protestors outside the building (which caught local news attention due to the CSA cases in PA) didn't help! Or rather, it did! People saw the signage, saw the local news reports, and then let their fingers do the walking onto Google.

Wonder what else the "10 Year Plan" will bring forth? One things for certain, the previous 10 years.....since say, 2014.....have been damn interesting. That's about when JW Broadcasting premiered. How's the dumbass televangelism working out for ya, WT HQ? lol

Disfellowshipping? Out the door! Well, not really. It's merely been renamed to simply "Removed from the Congregation."

So now "adherents" (no longer referred to as Members due to legal reasons) can now simply be "removed from the Congregation", the same way people who pay to belong to a gym can be removed from the membership ranks due to some club policy infringement. Oh sure....you can still nod and smile to them and say "Hi" occasionally, but you're not going to have a drink at the club bar and play pickleball with them anymore. They are persona non grata!

Barbara Anderson famously made the proclamation years ago that the Legal Dept are truly the ones at the helm of WatchTower HQ. Well now, we've got the confirmation. Anyone doubting at all that this was 1000% directly because of the Norway (and other subsequent decisions around the world against WT) verdict, needs to have their heads examined. WT Legal must be shitting themselves and hemorrhaging money something awful to make such a drastic course correction such as this at such speed.

But really, this isn't exactly a course correction. It's a shell game. They're not really addressing the very actions that have caused several governments and agencies to rule against them and their Human Rights Violations. Nope! Not at all. They are merely attempting to disguise what it is exactly that they are doing, which is basically destroying families under the guise of disciplinary "Christian Love."

Disfellowshipping = Ex-communication.

The Amish and several other cults do the same. Fall in line and do as they say, (and keep your big mouth shut) or else loose your family and friends forever. It's emotional and spiritual blackmail. Holding a gun to your head and stating that "You have free will to leave any time you want, but you loose your family if you don't decide the way we tell you," is NOT free will at all! @NotFormer: That is already what they are referring to. The F&DS is now ONLY considered to the be Governing Body, so how you treat THEM (AKA: Christ's Brothers, leading his earthly Organization) is paramount to your salvation.

However, even this in itself isn't a new concept. The old brown "Reasoning from the Scriptures" book spells out how Jesus ransom sacrifice was only for the 144,000, and only by being associated and in good standing with THEM, does mankind or anyone have any hope of making it thru. They even labeled themselves as "The Greater Moses."

So JESUS stated that He, "was the Truth, the Life, and the Way, and no one comes to the Father except thru ME,".........................

But along come a group of old Geezers in New York. They proclaim themselves to the F&DS, and they alone (now only the Governing Body) and everyone's salvation depends upon kissing their asses and bowing to their every command, or ELSE!

What total blasphemy. In fact, they fit the description of the "Evil Slave" to a "T"! Jesus said to be on the lookout for those coming after Him claiming they were Him, speaking for Him, saying he was in some invisible chamber, and demanding you to follow after them. So Lett's examine that warning:

Claim to speak for Jesus and Yahweh as the only mouthpiece of divine distribution. The bible? Secondary to whatever the hell they say, that day, week, or year. Even questioning what they say is considered Apostasy, a far cry from the praise Paul heaped upon the Boreans for making sure of all things.

Claim that Jesus is ruling, but invisibly. Since 1914. With no proof besides the outbreak of WW2, over 100 years ago. This, in direct contradiction to the bible which states that upon Jesus return, "every eye would see." Sooooooo........NOT invisibly then, right? RIGHT? "Invisible parousia" - my ass! Him arriving in the sky for every eye to see also makes logical sense: It proves Jesus and Jesus alone as King of King and validates the Christian belief system. Jesus rides up: BOOM! Immediately solves the age-old question as whose religion is right. No more guessing. Allah and Xeno a no show? Sucks to be you!

Claim you must follow them, no matter what.....even it doesn't make sense from a human standpoint. So they're going the Jim Jones / David Koresh route now? Sure as hell seems like it! Listen, OBEY, and be Blessed! Oh, and DONATE, suckers!

Jesus also made the statements that His followers would be recognizable by the love they show, and their works, charity, etc.

Governing Body: ZERO charitable organizations set up to help anyone, but themselves at WT HQ! No orphanages, retirement homes (Fishkill for the elderly elite Bethelites doesn't count, assholes!) soup kitchens, hospitals, homeless shelters, drug treatment centers, mental health / counciling services, and the list goes on. Charity to the Governing Body is the rank-n-file Sheeple handing over every last nickle to THEM, even in death! You got kids? Fugg 'em! They want....errr.....DEMAND......that you leave your pitiful estate to them, the Governing Body! Your kids are worldly and no good anyway. These grifters want it ALL!

Sicking, disgusting, money-grubbing CULT led by slimy, weasely used car salesman types without a lick of class or humility among them. They wouldn't know "Christian Love" if it bent them over and banged them! As stated above, it's the Year of Our Lord, 2024! Anything can be looked up, cross-referenced, checked, etc about any subject. Instead of JW leadership hitting back with facts that would back up their claims, they instead use fear, obligation, and guilt to bully the membership into willful ignorance and a spiritual gulag.

The only people ignorant about the dubious, criminal, money-grubbing habits of cults such as the JW's, Mormons, and Scientology, are the very members themselves. They are deliberately kept in a bubble as to remain ignorant as to how badly they are being bent over and fleeced by their OverLords.

Increasingly, these cult members resemble more and more the prisoners of North Korea. Even the literature now resembles North Korean propaganda. It's really something to "witness" from outside of their bubble. Attempting to puncture their bubble results in them going into full denial, plugging their ears, and then running away like a petulant child.
