Hello everyone ,Remember the year 2000 was a year of peace so to speak by the pope.The scripture saids "whenever they are saying" meaning they don't have peace but are saying it. The year 2000 was like that, then in 2001 sept 11 that all changed.So maybe sept 11 2001 was the start of the tribulation!If that's true then things can only get worse not better. Any comments?????????????

for anyone who doubts that paranoia amongst the denizens of dubdom is greater than ever, consider this: in years past jws used to distribute copies of phone/address lists of the members of the congregation for the convenience of the friends, and these were periodically updated.. lately in my area, however, requests for a current list were refused, with the explanation that it would be ``imprudent to keep such a list, as it would compromise the brothers' /sisters' identities were it to fall into the wrong hands."".

is this ban now oganization-wide or just a local phenomenon?

i would suspect the former.

when speaking to a jw the other day, i didn't really have a good explanation of ecclesiastes 9:5, where it says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all.. what is everybody's take on it?

That is true the dead are conscious of nothing at all because it's a dead body, However.....That doesn't mean that person wasn't resurrected to spirit life.Remember a spirit person is invisible to the human eyes.Hope this helps.

This scripture is pretty good matthew cha.8 verse 11 an it reads "BUT I TELL YOU THAT MANY FROM EASTERN PARTS AND WESTERN PARTS WILL COME AND RECLINE AT THE TABLE WITH ABRAHAM AND ISSAC AND JACOB IN THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS".

Now we know these people are dead in the flesh meaning they are conscious of nothing at all from a human stand point because there bodies are dead BUT this scripture proves they have all been resurrected and they are in heaven and very much conscious only in spirit form like Jesus.So they have new bodies so to speak,there old bodies (of flesh) are gone, dead, conscious of nothing, not active or alive. But there NEW body(of spirit) that they have is very much conscious active an alive.They switched bodies so the old one is gone and dead but the new one is active has life.Makes sense doesn't it!!!!Remember that old saying "Out with the old in with the new".

Watch the movie the 8th day with Arnold S., anyway in the movie they clone people so when someone gets cloned they switch bodies so of course there OLD body is not active or dead, but there very much alive in there NEW body.It you watch the movie you will get the point better I think ,only think of it for human body to spirit body!!!!!!!! God(Jehovah,Yahweh) is alway with me.I don't need man for that.The WTS is false and the people are a false love.They changed the greek scriptures around to fit there rules etc.You can't do that!!!!!!!The plain untouched standard Bible is the real truth.ALL religions are false and God is going to get rid of them because they are not healthly and miss translate his holy words.Read the book "crisis of conscience" and "in search of christian freedom" by raymond franz.The books will show you that God is not with them and they are false.Don't fall in the darkness pull yourself together and do your research pray for holy spirit to understand the bible and the deep things of God. Act 17:11 do your research or elses you'll be sorry. I hope this helps take care

i am also on the yahoo exitfundyism board and it is amazing how many times the posts mirror each other between here and there.

i thot this might be relevant in light of current events, so i am copying the posts from this thread to share here.

the answer makes a very good point that i think we can all appreciate and i never quite thought of in that way before.

No, if you do your research well then you find out the real truth. All religions are false and man made and God is going to get rid of them all. The reg. plain Bible is the real truth and Jesus is the way don't let man mess or tell you otherwise.
