  Why doe New light tick me off???? Next 2 weeks WT Studies

  if you have been a jw for 20+ years you may remember that the wt went into great detail on different illustrations that jesus used and the "type/anti-type" ridiculous explanations.

  remember the revelation book and how those obscure jw conventions of the past pictured big things in heaven and the opening of seals?

  anyway, the wt lessons for the next two weeks do two big things for me.

  OneFingerSalute Did you make this comment since this new understanding? I brought up that very point saying that the Bible nowhere stated that the seven times in Daniel was x amount of years that ended in 1914 and asked if the person I was speaking with could PROVE 19 14 without using the type/anti-type of Daniel as used previously. They stammered, stuttered, um, and uh, and um, and of course COULD NOT!

  And does this new teaching really kill the 1914 propaganda or will they use some other teaching to still push it?

  may 10th, the whole study was about covering up their mistakes, and putting it off on "recent refinements of understandings".. you could just look at the elder on stage and know he was not feelin this study.. when a neewbie answered and said" lots of unexpected changes are happening" i about fell outta my seat !

  according the watchtower study of may 10th, it has been made clear no prophetic meaning should be given to a a scripture or passage unless the bible itself gives clear interpretation of it.

  therefore daniel 7 especially gives it's fulfillment to nebuchadnezzar only.

  no future kingdom or 2520year wait til 1914. no gentile times or "this generation".

  I wonder if some Christian scholar has pointed out these inaccuracies in and article he published and the GB are just copying his opinions? They seamed to have done this with the teaching that there is no bad Faithful slave. Some guy wrote and article and they jumped all over it.

  do you think these changes are being made so they can start teaching the r&f a new set of doctrines?

  or is this just a fly in the ointment just to continue to confuses the masses so they don't know what the hell to think anymore?.

  and if you think its so they can teach new doctrines, do you think their going to go more main stream?.

  i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!

  but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.

  i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

  Driving Force, my wife did the same thing when I was waking up and the elders kept her real busy too, talks about not going on apostates websites, invites to family worship at elders homes, love bombing all over the place. It was really disgusting!

  Notice how they used some obscure teachings as examples rather then pointing out let say the stupid ones they used in the revelation climax book. Also they use old ones very old instead of newer examples, all designed to sneak the point across as not to wake anyone up, that they have just thrown the baby out with the bath water.

  did you watch the story about the jw who was working as a burger boy at some diner and his boss wanted him to work on sunday during the time of his meeting?

  this faithful jw decided he could not attend a later meeting (6 pm sunday meeting) and soon quit his job(or got fired to attend his sunday meeting) so he could attend the sunday meeting he was assigned to.

  i think he was on welfare because this story states he won't work on sunday morning because that's when his meeting is!

  I knew of a brother who lost his job in Texas but no worries Jehovah will provide. So he started to pioneer did not even bother applying for work and yes Jehovah provided not a damn thing and he stayed unemployed.
