  Son's new friend a JW

  my son was never a jw.

  he was born about a dozen years after i left.

  but he's heard about it from me and knows i was one.. recently he has a new best friend at school.

  hi, for a couple of months now.

  i stopped (after some 17 years) visiting meetings etc.

  my intellect and conscience could not longer stand the lectures from the platform and in the magazines.

  I think a lot of marriages end because the mate that left is marginalised and is no longer looked at in any good way. Who would want to be married to an evil apostate, that left Jehovah and eats at the table of demons

  Rumor about the Imitate Jesus Convention

  i saw a rumor a few weeks ago on reddit that the new imitate jesus convention is supposed to present new light and clarified understandings on the disfellowshipping/disassociation practices.. supposedly, if this rumor has any truth to it, there will be a talk given at the convention about how we should not be strict like the pharisees in how we shun people, loosening up some of the jw rules about this practice.. has anyone here heard anything about this or have more info on it?.

  This cult has always spoke out both sides of thier mouths. I can see them stating something of the effect about not shunning at the convention for public propaganda reasons and then turn right around in in the next month's WT state all sorts of reminder why you should not associate with someone. So shunning gone but stricter association rules more stringent. Plus I think a lot of rank and file like the shunning it makes them feel superior.

  imagine that the cult decided to stop shunning family members on the proviso that the dfd person was not actively trying to attack the cult.. (please don't debate whether or not this is likely - it's hypothetical).

  how would you respond to your family?.

  personally i think i would be less than cooperative.

  I don't believe it, if JW's don't shun the numbers of people learning ttatt go way up and fence sitters that would leave yet don't do to shunning would be free to go.

  "i can't wait to meet abraham" was the eager comment made by a young 7 year old witness girl.. when asked why, she said "because he was jehovahs friend, and he was even willing to kill his own son!".

  this comment was said with joy and excitement!

  she can't see the obvious issues with this?.

  I want to meet I think his name was Josiah son of Hezikiah. He does like his father continues to make sure Judea only worships the true God and is a good man. But God let him get his ass kicked and killed by Necro the Egyptian Pharoah anyway.

  Something terrible has just happened

  the neighbor child came over to play with my youngest child.

  i think she's about 4 maybe 5. well anyway there was some strawberries out on the counter and she asked if she could have one and i said no.

  when i looked over later i saw her sneak one.

Well anyway there was some strawberries out on the counter and she asked if she could have one and I said no. When I looked over later I saw her sneak one. I sent her home right away but then thought it would be mean to not let her come back over at a later date. So I decided the thing to do was to kill slowly and sacrifice my oldest daughter to myself because this really pissed me off that this little 4 year old would not do what I told her to do. What a way to start off this weekend. Hope you'll all have a better weekend then me.
