It was a crazy feeling to realize that there is no life after death and no I'm not going to live forever. Another emotion was that I wasted my youth and a lot of potential on this cult. by Mr.logic inwhat is the correct spelling of gods proper name"yahweh or jehovah"?
if the jw's maintain that yahweh is more proper, why do they misspell it "jehovah"?
if the name of god is so important, then you should not only pronounce it correctly, but spell it correctly too.

Governing Body

i am currently in a discussion with a jw about the governing body.. i have read alot of articles regarding it, however whenever i bring up what i have read, i am refuted with scripture, such as acts 15, where they say there was a governing body, who sent out elders and men etc.. does anyone have a website that i may not know of, that has answers to what they refute with?
or any help here or good thought provoking questions to respond with would be much appreciated.. thank you kindly.

Ask why if they were chosen then why have they gotten so many things wrong. You may also want to read 1corthinans chapters1,3,11 this is where the writer brings out that leaders are not important at all. You could d also mention that it was Paul who had to travel down to Jerusalem to deal with the subject of circumcision because ones were coming up to his area. He went and got the problem handled not some governing body in Jerusalem. -

God's name was El according to the Cannaanites, with different adjectives following that designation like El - shaddai. Many people say the word El was not his name just a title like diety or God. I respectfully disagree because it was only his designation. No other God was called El-dagon or el-yamm. When you have a king there's usually only one and when you refer to the king even if you don't mention his name everyone in that kingdom knows who your talking about. By the way the Israelites were cannaanites. -

So I overheard a discussion that my son and wife were having about creation yesterday
by My Name is of No Consequence inso i am getting ready for bed yesterday night and i overhear my teenage son and wife talking about how the evidence of creation far outweighs the evidence of evolution.
i heard my son say that evolution has so many holes and how could something happen from nothing.
i wanted to open the door and ask them both how the creator happened from nothing just to see what they would say..

If there was a creator a god and he gave a rats ass then why does he allow galaxy to collide and stars to blow up and planets even our to be his by big astorids and comets? -

How big of a problem is apostasy.
by joe134cd ini often wonder if apostasy could be defined as the "silent problem", as the majority who leave for this reason choose to fade saying nothing.
in all the decades i was a witness i could probably count on 2 hands those who were disfellowshipped for apostasy.i must admit it wasn't until i came on the internet that i fully realise the depth and extent of the problem.
i think of that young girl high school speech that went viral, and you can't tell me all those 300000+ views were all none jws.

by scotoma inonce again jehovah has decided to light a candle so jw's can see where they are going.. they went to great lengths to explain that feeding the hungry anointed, thirsty anointed, giving them clothing, housing and visiting them in jail means the preaching work (distributing literature).. this is indeed noble when you consider that the right-hand sheep do this not even knowing who they are helping.. if the sheep are oblivious of who they are helping they must not recognize these "least" ones as christs brothers.. and what is their reward for unknowingly, blindly helping christs brothers?
they inherit the kingdom that was prepared for them from the founding of the world.
the new-lighters conspicuously avoid explaining what kingdom they inherit and how they inherit it.. do they inherit the kingdom that flesh and blood can't inherit.

Its crazy and we know it. They'll let the kid have a fraction that's called hemoglobin which is what 96% of what red blood cells are made of. They'll let them take Hemopure which is cows blood and they'll even let members go and have kidney dialyses where the blood is drained out of the person into a machine for cleaning then returned. So much or spilling it on to the ground. These people are delusional and as soon as I realized the contradictions in their doctrines I stopped going. -
