"Deep Down , He Knows That It is The Truth"
by BluesBrother inthis phrase i heard again at the weekend when a diehard dub was discussing his non believing, but much loved son.
"it is just that..... [insert any excuse here].
it is something that they all say about us, yet nothing could be further from the truth.

They just can't get it into thier heads that we disagree this is also why they start rumors about us. They can't fathom they idea that it's not the truth or that it can be wrong so we must be nuts and the rumors help them to reinforce the idea. -

Name "UNWRITTEN" Rules That JWs Are Supposed To Follow
by minimus inas with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.
here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.
jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".

Why does the Almighty need a mediator?
by economy ingod is alike to all of his children, hence cannot elevate one child above all others just because one was brought into existence before others.
(ezekiel 18:4) someone has to be first-born which does not give him any superiority over others!
interestingly, jesus simply dismissed the whole idea of one being placed over the others as pagan.

I think the mediator idea was used in early Egyptian or Sumerian temples, this was a way to make the priests useful and give them power over the people. I don't have proof of this yet, but if one studies Egyptian history there were times when the priest had more power then even the Pharoah. -

you should ask her if she wants to join you in finding all the teaching of Christ that the JWs don't follow. Like do not judge, do not exalt, do not shun, etc. -

I know of a brother that took in a young sister that was date raped then disfellowshiped, kicked out of her house and made homeless. By the way she became pregnant from the rape and the elders knew it when they df'd her. -

Revelations monsters and beasts just a retelling of the monsters of Tiamat?
by Crazyguy inin my studies i have found that much of the bible is a retelling of older stories from babylon, sumerian, and egypt.
it's starting to look to me as though the writer of the book of revelations may have used the idea of tiamat 's monsters as his templet when writing about the beasts in this book.
one similarity is the scorpion men or the men depicted as having scorpions tales that will ride around and kill a third of the earth.

Village, it's interesting that you bring up the book of Daniel. There is a chapter or story in Daniel called Bel and the Dragon, it's in the septuigent Bible the earliest writings of the Bible and it's again about a similar story. Of course the Christians took it out of thier newer Bible. -

As the story goes Marduk kills Tiamat the Dragon and the monsters give up. Jesus does the same in the book of revelations. Your thoughts has anyone else studied this? -

1995 was to the next generations 1975. The Borg recovered from 1975 but do to the internet really picking up steam in 2000 the Borg is not recovering from 1995. They have quit trying to push for huge numbers of recruits in third world countries and are now just focusing on trying to retain members in countries like the US, Canada and western Europe. There is a YouTube channel called Mike and Kim and they have only about a thousand subscribers but are always reporting the numbers of those that have contacted them that say they have quit the Borg. These numbers are telling. I believe the Borg is loosing a lot more members then we are being told by their published numbers. Its also worth mentioning that countries that had huge growth not to long ago countries like Japan and Brazil, their numbers are now stagnant. The internet is having a huge effect!
