The Watchtower says: The Septuagint became God's Word
by opusdei1972 inthe last edition of the watchtower (study edition) says the following:.
alexander the great later conquered much of the ancient world, and common, or koine, greek became an international language.
so, in this verse the septuagint was not god's word according to matthew.

Let’s Speculate!!!
by John Aquila inyou know the organization is slowly going down.
not as fast as we would wish, but nevertheless it is crumbling.
five (5) year old child baptisms, smaller magazines, child sexual abuse exposed, smaller annual growth, no one wants to reach out, young ones leaving.

I too think the number of followers will go down. They are stagnate in so many parts of the world and with so many going to be dieing off over the next 20 years the number can't help but go down. I think l this is why they are so aggressively going after a the money now. They of course will not tell the general member that the numbers are lower, just like they don't tell them that there virtually no Kingdom halls being built. -

The Borg has been twisting their doctrine all up in knots. The R&f will be just as deluded then as now but will know even less about their doctrines. -

After reading this thread I think it would be a good idea for me anyway to have in my head a pre-planned strategy of what I'm going to do and say. -

by opusdei1972 insuppose there is a god.
if he projected the human race, he knew that things like this would happen:.

It's interesting that the original top God of the Sumarian and Akkadian pantheons was Anu. Anu wanted to kill off mankind sent plagues then eventually a flood. So you're right, why do humans worship this guy? -

USA National debt hits 18 trillion dollars
by fulltimestudent inthree weeks ago, the citizens in beijing, china paraded tiananmen square, celebrating the milestone with hugs, jubilant cheers, and singing.
over 600,000 chinese citizens assembled in tiananmen square to watch the u.s. debt clock mounted above the forbidden city reach the landmark sum of $18 trillion dollars.. you could stay home and watch it on tv, but its much more exciting to be here with people from all over the country to celebrate this momentous day, said beijing resident xiao bu, noting that he always arrives in the early morning to stake out a good location in the square every time americas debt rises by another trillion.. i remember my father taking me to see the $5 trillion mark so long ago, and now im bringing my own children here to take part in the festivities.
its really a special part of our nations culture.. while most revelers left shortly after the rollover, an estimated 100,000 reportedly decided to just wait around in the square until the clock struck $19 trillion.. at the moment, the u.s national debt had decreased by a small amount since the rollover, amounting to just under 18 trillion dollars in debt.. in 2008, the u.s standard debt clock that towered new york city had reached 10 trillion.

I think the US will get its spending in order about the same time as when Jesus comes back. -

I vaguely remember, wasn't there a scripture in the Bible about Jesus saying to forgive 7 times 7 or something. No matter I'm sure the JW's took it out of their new Bible.
