Goodwill stores: A gathering place for Jehovahs Witnesses.
by Joliette ini recently started working at a goodwill here in wisconsin, and i've never encountered more witnesses ever in my life.
every time i go to work, i see at least two or three people that i used to go to the kingdom hall with getting suits, dresses, etc.
some of them say hi, but some of them i just ignore, or they ignore me.

i stumbled upon it today researching the divine name, and textual criticism of the nt.
it seems that the peshitta is an aramaic translation that has been handed down through the centuries without the controversies of the greek translation.

myelaine , I was in error, I was thinking about Rev 5:9-10 where it describes the great crowd as the ones that would reign on earth not the 144k because their described again at Rev 7:9, these scriptures are a throw back to the old testament at Exodus chapter 19 where Israel becomes a holy nation. The 144k maybe not included in this or anyway maybe a different group or subgroup with in the great crowd. Some say they represent the singers that went before the army. Anyway I was thinking on a different line of thought on my previous posts. -

Yes there are contradictions between what Paul supposedly wrote and what Jesus supposedly said. This is not the point the original poster was trying to make to this elder. Bottom line is this Paul would have been dfd by the GB today. -

Confronting Parents About 607 vs 587
by breezy injust thought i would update you guys since my 1st post last week.i haven't been to the meeting for about 2 weeks now, and maybe have like 1 or 2 hours of service combined within the past 2-3 months.
i obviously get the love bombing from relatives when they don't see you at the hall for a while.

Its almost as if there are two groups in charge. One does the spiritual stuff and the other does the investments and the money side. The spiritual side was saying and doing things with out consulting with the other side. Also they may have money but their obviously not bringing in as much as they hoped or before the crash of 2008. People don't have it too give. I also believe that they know the writing is on the wall, people are leaving no ones joining. This is why there's all these changes to trynto keep those in and their children to stay in. Their planning for a future where they make less and less off the rank and file. -

Yep you nailed and when I figured this out for myself a couple of years ago I got really mad.. The fact is based on the teachings of the borg their all just Jonadabs unable to gain salvation so they must hang on to the coat tails of the seven real Christians to get into the kingdom of god. This is exactly what the Catholics teach about them and the Pope. The borg is a mini Catholic religion copy.
