  There Were TWO Child Molesters Hiding In My Old Congregation

  it's come out in my old congregation that, not one, but two child molesters have been hiding in my old congregation.

  i knew both of them and one of them, an old man, was regularly at my house for field service meetings on a weekly basis.. in my old congregation there's an apostate who was awake long before i was.

  unfortunately he cant leave because his wife and children and parents are still full on believers.

  Have the Elders ever been instructed by their bethel to call the police for abuse?

  right now, there are a lot of talks on this topic in quebec and, at the mid week meeting, they are reading the letter sent in 2002 where it states that the elders will call the authorities if the law forces them to.

  the strange thing is, it looks like even when there are laws to that effect, jws seem to believe that it does not apply to them.

  for instance, i know that they do not report anything in quebec, even if it is the law!

  The 2002 letter still talks about establishing two witnesses so with out the second witness the elder won't do much in the hall.

  I had an experience where they elders were told by a sister that my daughter had told her she was abused sexually. They came over two of them took us out in to the car for privacy and told us. One elder even mentioned calling the police. Fortunately my daughter wasn't abused the sister was mistaken. But here is the thing, in the state I live in it's mandatory to report so the elders were compelled to tells us to report it to the police.

  Special Talk During the Meeting Today About the Bad Press in Canada

  i was invited to a congregation in ontario, canada today and as soon as the meeting opened the brother conducting the meeting said there was a very important statement coming from the borg.

  this talk replaced the two last parts of "living as a christian" section.

  he started reading a letter from the borg about how much they loved us.

  after being disgusted by the bs of the sunday meeting, i chatted with one inactive brother came back for that one meeting.

  i can't exactly remember how it came up, but he told me and a sister whose a close friend of mine that she shouldn't be so uptight, we're no longer under the mosaic law.

  There's a law to time indefinite that were not to eat fat. So how many jws eat hamburger? Since it's a guideline then should we still have slaves but just treat them a little better? The Bible says it's ok to rape unbetrothered girls, should we still be able to to this but just pay the father a bit more ?

  The Bible is a joke and religion just picks and chooses what it wants to believe so as to hold power over people.

  My mother's treatment. Unreal.

  i disassociated myself 3 years ago but have never told my mother, as she lives quite a distance from me in the uk.

  i've have told her that i no longer go to meetings, neither does my son, who is 16.. i haven't seen her for 3 1/2 years.

  i offered to come visit this week but she was incredibly offhand with me and said she couldn't meet with me today as she was on the ministry!!

  It's what the cult does. One of my sons told me after I quit going that I don't matter. They are just programmed zombies that only deal with in family and friends at thier hall. When people leave the hall and go to another one just a few minutes away they will hardly even see them again even if they were best friends when at the same hall.

  My wife pretty much replaced her mother and father with a older couple at her hall even though her parents are still witnesses yet live a couple thousand miles away.

  Its just sick discussing programming.

  i attended a sunday meeting today after missing a couple due to a bout of chronic apathy.

  out of 74 publishers we had a grand total of 33. wonderful.

  for those that attend, how are you finding the numbers?.

  There also has to be a lot of older ones that are about to die. This will make the numbers in the USA plummet big time essentially since I believe most older jws die off sooner then the national average to do being poor etc.. The joining of congregations will help to hide these missing ones as well.

  Had to bump this, she always had great information and really did her homework. I've been studying this stuff for a few years now and her insight has really helped because she didn't come at it with just one idea or thought like so many authors of today that write about things like this.

  If you really want to know who the god of the Bible is and how he evolved over the centuries, search out her threads and comments on this forum. Also check out all the writings found in the city of Ugarit discovered in 1929.
