  updated on a few things.. most interestingly, he said they just had their final assembly at their "beautiful assembly hall".. why would it be the final assembly?

  In the stories of the Bible the all Christians were apart of the body of Christ , the only anointed one. They were all to partake and the writings of Paul state they all had a heavenly hope. Rutherford started the whole earth heaven distinction to the JWs could have a laity class. Today Catholics eat the bread but only the priest eat and then drink the wine. Their special part of the original laity class.

  This laity class were special idea goes back to the Levite's in the Bible and before them the priests of Egypt. In almost all ancient religions in and around the Levant the priest and kings were considered special by the gods and save by the gods. The lowly pesents had to rely on the priests for salvation and Revere the king as god son.

  this past year has been the most life changing year anyone could ever go through.

  waking up, leaving the cult, separating from my wife, research, research, research, reading, pondering etc.

  and i've found myself having to re-learn and re-evaluate everything i thought i knew.

  Someone posted on YouTube a bunch of thing that Jesus said or taught that pretty much against what his father said. One example don't eat blood, eat my blood, so yes he's a true apostate.

  Anyway your right about one thing for sure, man has had laws put into place that show thier morality over the god of the Bible way before the Bible. Negative confessions from Egypt and Hammurabi's laws both way before Abraham and the Bible.

  many of us have heard similar sentences from believers regarding proof of creator, proof that their religion is the correct one, proof that their particular sect is the right one, proof that their individual sects interpretation of a certain religious text is the right one, proof that their own personal interpretation of a certain religious text is the right one; the list goes on.. in one of my previous posts, i shared the following thought of mine:.

  Really he wants to give us salvation but instead of just forgiving us something his son said to do , nope he had to murder his son and then smell the sweet smell of his sacrifice. Not only that before he killed his son he murdered and allowed the murder of millions of woman and children some even had the pleasure of being raped.

  My Anointed Grandma’s Wavering Faith?

  some quick background information: my dad (her firstborn son) died unexpectedly this past october.

  his death has really hit our family hard.

  personally, i have not totally come to terms with this.

  A friend of mine mother in her late 80's recently got sick and now her health is failing. In the hospital she openly said in the presence of two of her children and her husband that she wished she had never studied with the witnesses.

  She has seen how this cult has negatively effected two of her kids as they struggled being married to men that were useless and how she lost her blood family because they stopped talking with her after she left the family faith and tried to cram the JW faith down thier throats like most witnesses do.

  $25,000 for one-day assembly in our area

  they started out with a $3,500 carry-over but by the end of the day they were short $25,000.

  the speaker eloquently beseeched the audience to go the atm machines and give their generous contribution or at least their widow's mite.

  after the sessions were over, our friend who attended walked from one end of the assembly hall and then to the other end and noticed long lines up to both machines with people who couldn't wait to run up their credit cards.

  please excuse me for long-winded ranting.

  i know, as do most of us here that "love" is not something that the jdub's are known for except in their deluded, feeble minds.. i can handle their hypocrisy when it is directed at me, but when it is aimed at family who for decades have genuinely been the type of jw that the watchtower presents to the public, and when it is motivated by pure hate, then i get pissed!.

  my mother was dunked in the 1940's and my father in the 1950's.

  Unfortunately a religion that's only about works and recruitment as the main work this is what happens. People live thier lives in the cult and give their all but when they can finally do no more do to age or sickness they are forgotten.

  My father was a good guy finally became an elder and was the elder most would go to with their problems but he got booted do to political crap in the elder body. He later had to move because of his health. When he died only a handful of people from his hall even showed up for his funeral, hell my nieghbor's who only knew him from when he came over to my house showed up!!!

  Again this religion uses people up and kicks them to the curb when they can't perform anymore.

  first may we define our terms.

  the word atheism comes literally from the greek, alpha the negative and theos [for god], therefore “negative god” or there is no god.

  In response to your original post, I think an atheist is just believing that there is no god and does not think his opinion means that there is absolute proof there is no God. I'm pretty much an atheist and I see no evidence of a god, so that's why in my opinion there's no god, but I'm open to the idea that there was once a god like creature that flew by earth and possibly started life on this planet millions of years ago.
