I would say the awe inspiring feeling of reality with out a fake safety net. Living life and feeling tasting touching and seeing things in a new clear crisp sense of awe!!!

Earnest, your guy maybe an expert in the Arameans but what he says about the Hebrews is just popular propaganda. The Hebrew alphabet starts with the Alef a bulls head. The god El was depicted as a bull and so is Jehovah. Most of the descriptions about the god El are also descriptions of Jehovah .

I think one thing that needs to be considered is the fact that the Jewish gods name was being written as ywh or something similar way before the massorites. This idea that the massorites said gods name is to holy to write down and substituted his name for yhwh is crap. The partial spelling of the Tetragrammaton is found in older writings.
There is a writing found of Jews stating gods name as ywh I believe and then has a picture a old Egyptian god Bes. Some believe an old Egyptian moon deity with a similar name and spelling as ywh is the god of the Jews and over time he morphed or absorbed some of the other Egyptian gods and was himself absorbed into the god Osiris. There is a statue of the god El wearing a hat that looks similar to that of the hat of Osiris.
The Egyptians traded and heavily influenced the Canaanites all the way up to the ancient city of Ugarit where they worshipped El . The Hittites just north of there also had a pantheon of gods very similar to that of the Egyptians.
Moses name and that of Solomon are Egyptian. Maybe the story of Moses was to help push the influence of an Egyptian deity over the more Canaanite Baal ?

Which is better minimum wage or minimum income?
by hoser inwe were having this discussion in the office the other day and we came to the conclusion minimum wage is better because it still adds to the economy vs minimum income which someone could potentially stay at home and do nothing and still get paid without producing a thing for the greater economy.. thoughts?.

In not familiar with minimum income but in the US they have a minimum wage. In states where the minimum wage is higher the states economy is better. Studies have shown the higher the minimum wage the better the economy. Again it’s obvious from state to state, the lower the minimum wage or in states they have right to work laws which means anti union their economy is usually worse.

Sorry to hear that you left the "truth"
by eyeuse2badub inthe other day i ran into a jw who just happened to be my very friend during my jw days (which were most of my life).
so for about 60 years we were each other’s very best friend.
we grew up together from about 8 years old and are the same age, now in our early 70’s.

Can you top this example of JW corruption?

following is an account from a longtime elder named tommy who recently disassociated.. the minor daughter of a presiding elder in a west texas congregation committed fornication with a 19-year old baptized witness in her father’s home.
the daughter had to confess to a judicial committee which included the aforementioned tommy.

This isn’t very bad but shows obvious favoritism. POs daughter starts dating worldly guy then moves in with him. Apparently the dating was hush hush and when she moves in with him it’s all innocent their just room mates. Nothing happens to her and she openly shares she’s dating him and they finally get married. Not once was she JCd or anything , I guess if your a POs kid you can do anything.

The 2004 tsunami was a wake up call to many and the cyclone that hit the Philippines and took out 3 Kingdom Halls killing 45 of his supposed people should have been a major eye opener to most JWs but unfortunately it was not. Zombies don’t wake up they can only be put down.

Goodbye my friends.

Babylon The Great and JWs

interestingly, bible’s definition of it would include jws also because it is the entity “that rules over the kings of the earth.” (rev 17:18) since revelation is given in symbols (rev 1:1) “kings” cannot be literal, but can mean minds of people because mind acts like king over everyone’s bodily kingdom.. no one exerts power over the minds of jws like their gb does.
just like members of other religions blindly follow what their leaders teach, jws too do—even when changes that are introduced under the guise of “new light” are virtually numerous.
