It’s really sad that we to at one time were thinking inside this box . A box of complete ignorance with no sources coming in from outside the box. It’s really sad that in this day and age and with so much knowledge at our finger tips theres still people and groups out there like this. It’s like discovering a lost tribe in the middle of the Amazon forest. But at least these people of this tribe would have and excuse for their ignorance.

Friends: Jehovah's Witnesses shunning drove Keego Harbor mom to murder-suicide

Maybe the ex sister in the video at the hall had first hand conversations with the family and knew first hand that the shunning was a contributing factor. One can have a pretty good life but then come home and have to deal with family or friends shunning them and it’s definitely a downer.

I take it your ex has left the cult but is not dfd yet? If so that explains a lot. I’m seeing more and more cases of JWs getting away with more and more and as long as their not dfd then it’s all good.

Other Religious Denominations
by Plato init’s me again, your favorite greek philosopher xdd.. i was wondering if any ex-jws around here have since indetified with other christian denominations.
if that is the case for you, how has it been?
do you feel more welcome?

Plato, stop wasting your time with Christianity, it’s mostly an evolution of older religious ideas mostly from Egypt but also Mesopotamia, Greece and Persia. The Bible it ripe with older stolen stories from Mesopotamia, Greece and Egypt.
Maybe if you study religion from India or something you’ll find a better idea of spirituality.

Disproving one verse of the Bible means proving another verse!
by Ireneus inlast week’s newsweek magazine (february 10, 2018) made a surgical strike on jws teaching that soul is something that can be “destroyed” (mathew 10:28) and man is ‘dust unto which he would return’ (genesis 3:19) when its article (the increasing signs that human consciousness remains after death) made this conclusion: soul “does not become annihilated just because we’ve crossed the threshold of death.” (http://www.newsweek.com/where-do-you-go-when-you-die-increasing-signs-human-consciousness-after-death-800443) interestingly, bible also contains verses that show man has an eternal aspect (eccl 3:5; 12:7).. science is now in the right direction in line with the prediction francis crick, co-discoverer of the double-helix dna, made: “it is not true that mere firing of neurons in the brain could indicate consciousness….
physics has yet to explain how consciousness could come about through firing of neuron in the brain.”.
this also explains why some of the gospels were not included in the canon.

What’s even more interesting is the ancient Egyptians had these ideas even before Christianity or jesus ever existed.

by AFRIKANMAN ina man took to facebook to share his experience at a general hospital in lagos state, and its bound to leave you speechless.. in the post that he shared on social media, the man revealed how he got to the point of beating up a man whose wife had just died.. http://www.pulse.ng/gist/metro/pregnant-woman-unborn-child-die-over-jehovahs-witness-belief-id8007373.html?utm_content=bufferbe61d&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer.

Religion really does have the power to remove ones thinking. I too would of let one of my family members die in need of blood because like most JWs the cults reasons seemed sound based on the limited information a JW is provided with. It wasn’t until it all became a reality in my life and one of my family members may have needed blood that I after hearing some information decided to do some research.
It really is sad that all around the world people live and die based on indoctrination and or limited information.

Cart observations from Cardiff South Wales
by freddo ini was in a suburb of cardiff, capital of wales where it was difficult to get near to my customer's offices to deliver and install what i do.
i had my car parked about a hundred yards away and had to make several trips with goods and tools past a local jw trolley cart.
as i was working i didn't stop but observed much of the time from an upper floor office window.. in the hour or so i was there, on a warm sunny (for late february) lunchtime/early afternoon - right by a bus stop and several local shops, cafes and banks with plenty of people about - not one person stopped at the cart.. the two women at the cart i guess were about 50 and 75 respectively - pleasant looking motherly/grandmotherly types.

So you're worried about the Big A, or the North Korean bombs? Sorry everyone, Japan is the one that has likely screwed us all.
by fulltimestudent inheard much lately, about the fukushima nuclear disaster in japan?.
that is until earlier today when i found this article from last year, with dr. helen caldicott discussing the chernobyl disaster and fukushima.
she believes fukushima is uncontrollable and there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it.. read the article: .

I tend to agree with her more then any one that disagrees with her. The whole situation and how it’s been handled by the Japanese company in charge is a joke. They don’t seem to have anyway of stopping the water from running down the hills in to the plants and on to the ocean. The water their collecting is going to be dumped in to the ocean and they can’t even find where some of the uranium that melted down went.
The whole thing is a mess and their not doing much about it except hoping everyone will forget about it. In the mean time the company executives have their eyes closed and their ears plugged.

Hopefully you pulled out a zodiac chart and showed her that the four creatures that are pulling the chariot are nothing more then the four cardinal points of the zodiac. This makes god the sun. Tell her to go out side and look up, for she too has seen god.

Boyfriend force me to study the bible or no marriage
by MuslimWoman inmy boyfriend, who is a disfellowshipped jehova's witness, asks me to study the bible for 3 months or he won't marry me (i'm a muslim woman).
he loves me and really wants to marry me but he is doing a passive blackmailing: if i don't study for 3 months, 1 time per week, in my home country, and without him, there will be no marriage... as a muslim, i believe the bible is god's word so i look at the bible from time to time and would be happy to study with him.
but the fact that he is kind of saying "study the bible or bye bye no marriage" is really hurtful.

Totally run from this guy. The JW religion is a cult much like hard core Islam. You dont need this in your life. Plus he’s a control freak! If you do decide to study despite the advice your getting here then at least let us help you to show him through questions you can ask him that his religion and it’s doctrine is not Christian but a false teaching.
