years and years ago, i was on another ex-jw message board though i'm not sure if it's still around or not.

How Would You Prove To A JW That They Are Wrong?

what could you say to prove to a witness that they simply do not have the truth?.

I was able to prove just about every one of their teachings wrong to myself using just the Bible and common sense. Take for example the blood doctrine, they use a scripture in Acts to say it’s a valid doctrine and wasn’t lost to the new covenant.

But one can easily use the scriptures to point out that jesus said “nothing entering into a man can defile him,” “we desire mercy not sacrifice, “ saying it was ok to break the laws of the covenant if it was to save life.

Then there the scriptures in later New Testament writtings where Paul says it ok in Corinthians and I believe Colossians to go ahead and eat bloody meat. Last but not least can’t remember the book but Peter is given a vision of a table full of unclean things and is told it’s ok to partake, destroying the Jewish ideas on what and not what to eat.

These scriptures with out even going into the Old Testament prove thier blood doctrine wrong but most JWs won’t see it because thier thinking ability has been removed from them.

i have not seen jehovah’s witnesses in my neighborhood for several years now.

it appears that the cart witnessing has taken over.

congregations are being consolidated and witnesses are being forced to travel a greater distance than before.the burdens/privileges of elders seem to be ever increasing!.

I’m with Giordano, the churches that are surviving are cummunity churches helping one another and having out reach programs that help others in the cummunity. The self absorbed churches like JWs and other hardcore groups are dying off.

Yes yes there is! According to new research worms that were frozen for over 40,000 years in Siberia have now come alive again and are eating. So I guess if you want life after death then you have to be frozen first. Maybe we got baptism wrong this whole time. Maybe we were supposed to be dipped into very icy water and left there.

Look it says the elder will tell the wife her husband committed adultery just no the details of what went on. The important thing is that if the husband fucks a cow or sheep that’s fine and none of the wife’s business!

Girl i knew was raped by a jw study. An elder was studying with him but he was only studying to try and get her to date him. He raped her she became pregnant and only reported it to the elders when it became clear she was going to have a baby. Girls do this for a multitude of reasons not reporting i mean, shame , embarrassment, hoping it will just all go away etc. if fact most victims don’t report their rape.

So what did the elders do? They kindly dfd her!

In reality like stated above its 52% empty capacity. When the halls were built they were built for more capacity then current members so yes the numbers are miss leading. But here is the deal we all know a huge percentage of the young ones leave and we also know the number of new ones joining is almost none existent, so with that said there’s no way their growing, no way in years!! Now add to that, that in the coming years a huge percentage of their member will die off and now we know where the cult will be.

Nowadays How Does One Become An Elder?

i was appointed jan 1 1980 and back then it was a big deal to“qualify”.

i was the youngest elder appointed in the district!

i actually studied everything from the societies publications and listened to anything i was told to do.

there was a french language congregation this weekend in congo dr which had 44,000 in attendance and something like 730 baptized.

i'm not saying that is good or bad, just reporting the news..

They could be baptizing 10,000 people a week and it wouldn’t really mean anything because these people don’t have any money to help the Borg. Without money and the support of people with money the cult will die. They know this because even though they are getting great numbers in Southern Africa they closed down their branch in that area just a couple three years ago.
