Since you really don't have any family or true friends in the ORG i would DA myself. Better to get it over with and be done then drag it out for your own health. Not to mention you do not want to give the elders power over you and going to a JC meeting and explaining yourself will most likely not wake up any elder so why bother. I would DA myself in a second, right know if it were not for my kids.

Should I just DA or get DFD?
by Julia Orwell inmy never-a-jw dad told me today that mongrel jws who turn on me were never truly my friends and i'm better off without them, so why worry if i get disfellowshiped?.
i fear being disfellowshiped because my name will be dragged through the mud.
i also think it might be a good idea to da or get dfd because then the link is broken and the fade is over.

My JW best friend is bringing a 'heavy' around to my house to talk some sense into me.
by Julia Orwell ini agreed, if only because i want to see my friend of many years.
the 'heavy' is a large, imposing man with a booming voice and is a creature of the gb through and thru (eg only visited his dfd dad on his death bed because it was a 'good witness' to the hospital staff) and i'm feeling stressed about seeing him.
i so badly wanted to see my friend though, i agreed without thinking and now wish i hadn't have.

Your experience just proves to me how brain washed JW's really are, they can not see the trees for the forest. I had a similar experience with one elder about the hypocrisy of the blood doctrine. I guess there's really no waking them up. They have been told that they have the truth for so long they just believe it hook line an sinker. I guess then all i can do is try to save my young children since no one else can be saved, they must wake up and save themselves!

I would explain to her that shunning the way the WT says is wrong and point out that Jesus never said to do this he said to love your enemy. I would also mention to her that when a JW is disfellowshipped or announced as no longer a JW that every one starts shunning that person even though they have no idea what that person did or if that person just quit. Anyway how can this be right since the bible is very specific about whom should be shunned (really no one except apostates) You could even show her 2 thess. 3:14-15 were it speaks of 'admonishing him as a brother' How can one do this if your shunning that person.
If that doesnt work, then go for the throat and show her Luke 21:8 in a King James Bible

Mistranslated Scriptures

i'm thinking this may help to wake some one up.
i can think of rev 1:9 rev.5:10 and in luke were they changed the wording to say covenant from appoint or bestow, but that all i know so far.

No I'm actually talking about scriptures were they have changed the words to get another meaning like Rev.5:10 their bible reads 'and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth'. Most Translations say including thier own greek interlinear 'they are to rule as kings on the earth'
I'm looking for more scriptures like this.
