Your arguments always go back to the same thing 'Time'. Everything can and does happen if you give it enough time but i do not agree. There is no evidence in nature of an animal not knowing how to see and all of a sudden even over thousand years it becomes sighted. No evidence of that kind of intelligence needed to understand something that the creature didn't even know existed. Give it a millions years and it still will not happen, humans have gained knowledge of thing they did not know about over time but in most cases they stumbled across it and we have the biggest brains.

Another area that is missing that would truly be needed IMO to help evolution along is mating among species and outside of them yet it doesn't happen. Take a tiger and mate it with another cat and the offspring is sterile same with all other species at least in mammals. I'm just wondering if you all believe because someone an expert has told you so and because they seem to be an expert you give them the authority and them believe them out right with out doing any research, kinda like a religion we all know.

Blood, what is the spirit behind the law?
by CookieMonster induring the years when i was an active jw i never questioned the ban on blood transfusion.
i have been inactive now for a number of years and even during those early years i reasoned i will never accept a blood transfusion.
however, thinking about it with an open mind, i question the current teaching of jw's on banning blood transfusion on any account even if it means saving a life.

Youre so correct, in one of the main scriptures in Leviticus that the jw's use the word life is written two or 3 times in just that one verse. Its all about the life stupid but they think its all about blood.

Its interesting I'm being brated on other threads for not posting on this one for awhile. Now there close to 200 replies yet no one has seriously been able to say anything about my questions as to why I think Evolution major evolution is crap. Yes there been some books suggested and i'll check them out, but everyone almost everyone thinks because i was a JW i have this creationist only mentality. Wrong there just too many missing elements for there to be a real good argument for major evolution. Yes there is evidence of animals etc. making changes over time but where is all this evidence of creatures trying to evolve one way and it not working out and they die surely there should be a tons of evidence of creatures trying to evolve and it doesn't take. No scientific evidence that were light and darkness came from or sound etc. And not to mention maybe (I'll already have) that science can identify all the components needed to make life yet they can not create the most simple creature. Sorry guys i'm not buying it.

what most people fail to realize about 1914
by Crazyguy inin 1914 a great war broke out and the jw's have used that to add credibility to their idea that jesus took over power in that year and satan was cast out to earth.
what most people forget or do not realize is that jesus said there would be 'wars and reports of wars' but no big deal for the time was not yet.
then of course the great tribulation would break out and would be a game changer, but in the 1960's the gb stopped saying the great tribulation started in 1914 and said its now a future event.

Another piece I forgot to mention is the term the great crown of other sheep. We the rank and file are considered this but again the great crowd comes out of the great tribulation. So no great tribulation then how can there already be a great crowd.

How many of you followed the WTS direction on education years ago and have been screwed by it?
by Julia Orwell ini'm really interested in this question because i've heard for years that if you forgo further education and go pioneering, when you have a family down the track you will get a good job because jehovah will provide for you because you pioneered.
as long as i was a kool-aid drinker, even then, i thought, "how does pioneering pay your bills?
surely education should come first.

I was a very good student in elementary school way ahead of the other students but because of the no ED needed and the END being so close i dropped out after the 8th grade and went to work full time for my parents as a landscaper. I became a very good athlete in my teen years and from the experiences of playing sandlot tackle football and semi-pro for two years and what the other players said of me, i'm convinced i could of made it to college on a scholarship. But because of the ORG i have had to work full time hard labor jobs at times since the age 14. Fortunately i have a enough drive that i have been able to get some education in fields of work when needed and push myself to make myself successful enough to have an above average income. Looking back it would've been alot easier if i had the education, not to mention a lot more fun to experience life and things i love like playing football.

I was talking to an elder at my hall one time about the blood issue and how its not biblical and they have these people so brainwashed that he made the statement that 'blood transfusions probably dont save lives anyway'.

Blood Ban Witch Hunt in Progress
by 5go ini have had my own power of attorney drawn up and sent to my non jw family to void out my old card.
but now the society is pretty much forcing the issue on everyone with the emergency contact information (witchhunt) gathering drive every year and basically not taking a no for an answer fill it ot or get pulled in back.
well i am giving them the big fu this time i filling their card out but listng my non jw family on it as the contact and then filling yet another power of attornty to void out their stupid card again..

August 5th to be exact i believe. But it amazes me how much JW's can't see past the 1914 because of the war not even realizing what i first posted. This war is the proof they have, so they think.
